A 5.9 would bring a deuce to life. You could smoke the tires, if something in-between the motor and tires didn't break first. Faster spool-up on the turbo, still have an air compressor, plenty of torque, you can even get an adapter for the spicer transmission.

I put 16.00x20's on my M139 bridge truck. My gasser doesn't like them going uphill, and 5th gear isn't used much anymore. The 14.00x20's were better for my truck
