    Making a fording kit

Ken, Thanks. I just sent you a PM. Either I just sent you about three of the same one or none of them went through. In either case... Sorry. If the vents for the axles are under vacuum wouldn't that actually draw water into the axles through the seals? That's bad. What is your thought on that...

    Making a fording kit

I would like to make my own fording kit for a M35A2 multifuel. From what I see it looks like I should run vent lines to each axle vent. I should also run a vent tube to the air compressor. I need to get a new gasket for my fuel tank cap. The gasket for the oil fill cap seems to be good. My...

    Long but happy story

GBooth, I used (24087) Olive Drab (semi-gloss). For the first few weeks it looked much browner then I wanted and I thought to myself I made a mistake going with the "original" color. I had read about guys not happy with the color. I also read that after a while the true color comes out and it...

    Long but happy story

No problem Will. I Will be putting the cover on soon. It's camo though so it may look a little funny but it may look kind of cool too. As soon as it stops raining and it warms up it's going on.

    Long but happy story

Well I just wanted to give everyone an update on my 72 AM General. I have attached the photos. I got my Duce through GL out of Fort Drum in Watertown, NY. The truck was in pretty good condition (I thought) when I got it. The cargo box was rusted away badly from the very bad winters we get in...

    Multifuel no more?

Thanks Eric! I am totaly confused but at least I have a place to start... I think. I know you most likely have no idea but do you think all the parts are still there and it is just a matter of re-connecting everything or do i need to get some parts? I can take pictures if that helps anyone. Thanks.

    Multifuel no more?

Thanks Ken. Where do I get the parts to turn it back into a multifuel or are they still on there do you think? I would think that if I check the crankcase oil on a regular basis I could detect a leak fairly soon. Is a leak expensive to repair, etc? Thanks for your help.

    Multifuel no more?

Thanks guys. Is setting the fuel rate tough to do? I do not have any special equipment. Where does it leak and can I prevent it before it gets started? I really like the multifuel aspect incase I really need to get somewhere or from something. I guess the guestion is is it worth the...

    Multifuel no more?

Hey guys. I just had a guy look at my engine on my M35 I bought from GL in Aug. He told me that the truck is no longer a Multifuel. He told me the Army had changed it to just diesel. He said that is best. I don't think so. I really liked the idea of a multifuel. What are your thoughts? Is it a...

    What is that sound?

Thanks Eric. I thought so but I did not remember hearing it before and I wanted to be sure. Take care! I just got the duce painted. It looks brand new. As soon as I have the decals on it I will post some photos of it. Should be in abot two weeks.

    What is that sound?

On my duce I have noticed a snaping or poping sound coming from the passenger side firewall area that was not there before. It sounds like a relief valve of some kind. I don't remember hearing this before. When I got the truck the low pressure buzzer was disconnected so I connected it for...

    Deep water fording

Ken, I guess the jury is in. We want some photos or the prints! I would like to try to find one of the regulaors or one that works and put one of these systems together. Any help would be great. After you got out of all the water did you check your axles, diffs, etc for water? Did your seals...

    Deep water fording

Ken, That would be great if it's not to much trouble. I can give you my e-mail address or fax number or whatever you would like. So if I understand you correctly once I find one of those regulators, that should keep the pressure in the air intake canaster at 7PSI +/-. From the canaster I then...
