Well my truck is not the only one with the fan that way. I have a truck that just came out of DRMO that I traded for. SF97 has not even cleared yet. The fan in that truck is the same way. I looked at my parts truck that came from a fire department. The fan is flipped over in it.
May fan is marked with a "F" on one side. Does that me front / foward? If so than the fan is right.
I was able to get the other plug out using a heat wrench and pipe wrench. With the return hose on the water pump will the water flow through the filter ok?
I was thinking before with the...
I can't get the plug on the water pump out. Is there another option to plumb it back into?
I never looked at the fan. I just put it back on the same way I took it off.
My last 100 gallons had about 2 gallons of antifreeze. I have a drain on the low side of the tank and use a glass to see water or anything else that might be in it. Drain it out before each use. I also have duel waters filter on the hose befor it goes into the truck.
I saw the aftermath of an air compressor tank that blew. Same problem with the pin a hole and welded. A piece of metal about the size if a softball went through the outside of a pickup door and almost through the interior panel.
GET RID OF THE TANKS!!!!!!!!
One step ahead. I installed a coolant filter when I put the radiator back in the truck. Problem is I could not get the lower plug on the water pump to budge. I was able to get the upper one out and plumbed it back in there. Not sure if it will flow enough water to do any good.
Well I had the radiator rodded out. He said it was 2/3 clogged. Refilled with 5 gallons of anti freeze and 2 pints of stabilizer and distilled water. Went for a 60 mile test run with my foot in it and air temp around 100 to 101. Water temp hit 200 and stayed there for the whole trip. Truck...
When adding the coolent filter does it matter if you use
the upper or lower hose conection?
The lower plug on the water pump is frozen and will not budge.
I was able to get the upper plug out.
RE: UMO
My Scientific research I did was to fill the tank with WMO and take off down the road. Fuel would cut out and then go. I came back to the house and added some jet A to the mix, maybe 10 to 15 gallons to the 50. Ran just fine. I noticed that I could smell paint from the exhaust which...
OK I have 3 trucks and all 3 turbo are different.
What turbo are these.
With my hearing I can’t heat them spooling.
I noticed the front blower is different. The turbo exhaust is also different.
I pulled my radiator due to the heat problem. Will have it rodded and cleaned.
I noticed that the fluid was green for the most part until the last and it was really rusty.
Will the rust settle out over night or is there a flow problem. I have not pulled the stat yet.
