    Driveshaft cpmpatibility...

    I think that's about average.

    towing a 5 ton

Let's be realistic, no 5-ton truck fully loaded (on-road load == 20,000lbs == roughly the weight of an empty 5-ton) has enough brakes to stop in any reasonable distance in anything resembling a panic stop. Granted, having the load in the bed is differrent than having it pushing you, but let's be...

    My (first?) recovery complete

BTW, that thing is a BEAST! What's the rating?

    My (first?) recovery complete

I had to stop and use one of those pay-for-air machines at a filling station to fill some M103A3 tires once. Wait a pain. I can't remember how much I spent, but I'm glad I had a few bucks in change that day! And, it seemed like it took forever, too!

    School me on starter wiring

The -34 TM has the wiring diagram in it. Basically, large power wire comes from the 24V block on the firewall. Then, the solenoid gets 24V from the same block, but it comes through the relay under the dash.

    Starsky and Hutch is dead

I don't know... I think it looked more like a mini BJ & The Bear rig. If it was only a cab-over... It does look much better though!

    Driveshaft cpmpatibility...

Any mid-80's 3/4-ton 4x4 with an NP-208 and 14-bolt FF rear will have a compatible shaft, but Dabba is right. It doesn't cost too much to have a new tube made.

no camber and castor adjustment on an 08

The camber shims still exist. There is also an aftermarket eccentric kingpin kit to adjust the camber. They are correct that there was no adjustment from the factory, but there are specialty parts for this.

Man, you just dug up a 3-year old thread! That might be a record!!!

    deuce power steering kit

And, depending on your preferences, page 4 will take a while, too. This is page 3 for me, because I choose to have lots of replies on a page...

    Finally got a wrecker.

Congrats, John. That was a decent price. I hope it's a good runner for you. I was a bit surprised it went that low, but I guess the economy is affecting wrecker sales, too. If you need to leave it at my place for any reason whatsoever, feel free.:-D

Looking for M35A2 canvas cargo cover

Man, you should've waited till now and picked it up (with new bows) in person with no shipping charges... I would probably sell the canvas cover and end curtains for $400.

Looking for M35A2 canvas cargo cover

That is my kit. It's not just the cover and curtains. It is a complete cargo cover kit with NEW everything. Bows, fiberglass staves, hardware, straps, bow corners, and canvas. I priced canvas at the places mentioned above and you are right. The cheapest you can get the canvas cover and end...

Man, I wish I could make it, but I've got an early morning. Hopefully next time. Have fun guys!

    1028A3 Owners?

In that case, I would not worry about it. Install it as it was. It must have been a design change at some point?

    1028A3 Owners?

I would suspect those are all the right stuff you need. The only thing you will be missing (unless your truck happens to have them for some reason?) are the brackets that the sway bar end links attach to. I will tell you that I have seen conversions without these brackets and they basically...

Deathwobble fixed and back again, help!

When it "wobbles", does the entire truck shake pretty good, or does it feel like it is mostly coming from the steering wheel/front end? Aside from the above suggestions (I tend to think stabilizer first, then frame cracks near the steering box or the box itself), also check the trans mount for...

    M1008 resistor wiring ?s

In your current config, you are only getting about 6V to the glow plugs, which will cause the symptoms you describe. You could also try removing the wire on the other end of the resistor and hooking it directly to the 12V junction block on the firewall. This will give 12V to the plugs and it...

    Bid Collusion, Group Buys, etc

I don't recall any accusations of anything other than people not following the site rules.

    Bid Collusion, Group Buys, etc

I'm no lawyer, but I'll say this: It could be, but I doubt it would be. I think you'd have a hard time proving that. In that case, one person is buying a lot and the others are offering to buy conditionally. "I'll take one if you get them". Someone might argue that they are NOT bidding and...
