    Selectro locking hubs

I checked my local AutoZone to see if they could get these as Darin suggested. I had no luck though as they could not find the part number. I still have to go back again to reduce the chances I got the store idiot though.

Deuce winch from Adelmans (Ohio) to Aberdeen

gilbert if you happen to be heading out there already I might be interested in have you pick me up a winch. I will be Aberdeen too. I have never lifted a deuce winch, but would guess it weights at least 2 tylonal with a possible trip to the doctor.

RE: Re: RE: Towbar Question - M1028 Hey sorry about the delay. The CUCV shackle mounts are 31-1/2" apart measuring from the outside of each mount. The mounts are 1-1/2" wide, and 2" tall. The pin diameter is 1". I can't get my pics to load, but if I can I will post some pics of my homebuilt...

Welcome to SteelSoldiers RR. Nothing is sweater to hear then your trying to search our old posts for the info:) One thing is you need to add a location. It makes it much easier as alot of us help eachother out when things come up. I have seen one person put a commercial towbar on a CUCV, and...

Anyone know whos gamma goat this is?

Kind of a wierd thread here. MR if you contacted the guy before I would assume that is was by phone, since you did not say they stole your computer. Get a copy of your phone records and dig until you figure out which one it is.

Hey Stretch if you happen to be out there again before Aberdeen I would be interested in finding out about a winch too. How much do they want for them anyways?

    M105a2 Help Needed

All I got to say is look at my pic. You will be fine if you take it slow and carefull. Make sure you have marker lights that you can mount. Yes I scared myself driving home especially thru DC rush hours traffic. Also carefull about those tall rise pintle adapters as the extra length makes...

GL found a new way to screw us.

I called them up today to ask about this issue and pay a bill. I was told that it is a glitch in the system that they are trying to fix. I am a bit skeptical about this response, but I guess we will find out.

GL found a new way to screw us.

Personally I think it is time to offer to not pay for that auction unless I have access to the lot description. I did not print out the info on that one. I hope everyone can drop them an email at least demanding access to your own purchases.

GL found a new way to screw us.

I just noticed in the last few day that Government Liquidation has been erasing listings after 24 hours. If you are a GL watcher you probably know that they have in the past removed the auction master lists thus limiting access to the individual auctions. If you knew how to look, or need to...

    Flame throwing stack

On a similar thought it would seem that using a old deuce cold starter heater injecting propane into the stack with the spark plug could make a nice flame thrower.

    Selectro locking hubs

I am not sure about this. Rio made some of the earlier Deuces in the 50s-60s I think. I also think Kia makes a copy of the Deuce in Vietnam(?) for their military. So maybe that is how the kia rio came about.

Rusty LDT 465-1C engine from GL. Any hope?

What worries me is the internals with the head covers being removed , and the oil cooler/filter covers removed. Rusty cranks and such worry me. Most of the parts are on the bottom.

Rusty LDT 465-1C engine from GL. Any hope?

Yeah I saw that in the pics, but that is actually a bracket and a shadow. No hole just rust. I took a brief look last week at it.

Rusty LDT 465-1C engine from GL. Any hope?

I won this from the local GL for I guess $70 once fees and taxes are added up. It has been left open for some time as you can tell from the rust. Has anyone out there dealt with one that was left out to the weather in terms of rebuilding it? I figure if worse comes to worse I might get some...

    Selectro locking hubs

Wolf what was the original invoice price for the one you got thru ebay? If it lists it that is. What are the differences between the 11165-01 kit and the 11167-01? Externally they look the same in the pics anyways. It could be something simple like the bolts are a different length.
