    Front axle problem

sounds to me like a ring and pinion/ axle shaft issue.. My guess is pinion bearing is bad.. But hey what do I know.. I don't think its a wheel bearing because they both locked up.. Sounds like the differential locked up and then something broke maybe one shaft "betting the long side" and that is...

    6.2 to 727 adapter??

Here is the wrecker motor I mentioned earlier.. I took the best pictures I could it's kind of hard to get at in that old bugger. I did grab the fan and it rocked back and forth so its not froze up. The trans is a straight 5 not overdrive with a split axle. I crawled under it and swear the block...

It's hard to make money with them.. They are slow and eat fuel... Any loggers in your area? They might need some help from time to time.. That truck is very clean! What was he asking? 6.2 to 727 adapter??

Ahhhhh I have awoken the Mopar gods! YES! I have a 60's Dodge wrecker real close to me with a 440 and 5 speed in it.. I will see about the crankshaft bolt pattern maybe he will do that for me..Do you need measurements or will a picture do? So the manifolds off that 440 will probably work? If I...

    6.2 to 727 adapter??

Yes I think the site is great.. I just long for the old days from time to time when we could talk freely and the group was small enough you knew everyone and who was full of crap and who was not.. "But that's all I got to say about thattttt.." So now back to this motor for a M887 swap.. Come on...

Won 2 M818s in Lansing, heading to Albany, NY

The LDS 465 1A which is the motor that should be in that truck is valuable. If it runs good.. The tractor shares the same wheelbase as the dump truck so you could put a dump on it? Without seeing it and listening to the motor I can't make a judgment on if you could make money on or with it. The...

    Fort McCoy 8/23

Most of the differences, ups and downs of each have been covered. A good way to help your decision is to find someone with both, park them next to each other and look them over. You will definitely appreciate the difference between a 5 ton and 2.5 ton right away. Now crawl under each and take a...
