First off welcome.
What is your intent for the truck? beat offroad or collect? What options do you want/need? Being where you live a heater is going to be a must.
Start with all the options you want and find a truck that has a majority of it, most stuff can be added later. For example you can...
While I can't stand most bobbed trucks, I have to say the people on this forum were not the first to do it.
The first to do it was....drumroll.......the military. The other day I was searching for something else and I came across a line drawing of an M34 that was 4x4.
My buddy could have used a rail like that the day he rolled off the roof of his shelter in the middle of the night. :-P:-P

My old unit had square tube That was long enough to keep the brake handle from being released. You had to pull up on it to clear enough to release.
That is a different idea though.

A little, that is where planning comes in. Turn you wheel in the direction you want to back while moving forward. Make sense? It helps while backing to keep you from trying to catch the truck and make it track a little better.
The one we got came from Brent Mullins in TX.
We have one that looks like it came from a jeep but might be modified. The correct one I found was 850 bucks.
