    Find the right Deuce

First off welcome. What is your intent for the truck? beat offroad or collect? What options do you want/need? Being where you live a heater is going to be a must. Start with all the options you want and find a truck that has a majority of it, most stuff can be added later. For example you can...

    Armored Deuce

Put a couple wheels at the front of the cow catcher, and have it swivel at the shackle points. Should keep most of your approach angles

    Armored Deuce

With that kind of weight I would look into an older 5 ton, with the multifuel. As far as the SHTF, home is the safest place to be. Just my opinion.

Tons of AWESOME info but . . . why "bob"

While I can't stand most bobbed trucks, I have to say the people on this forum were not the first to do it. The first to do it was....drumroll.......the military. The other day I was searching for something else and I came across a line drawing of an M34 that was 4x4.

    M715 style new Jeep concept

I am not old enough to know of them from the 60's, was not even thought of at that time. I only knew of a few people having them in the 80's.

    M715 style new Jeep concept

S-250's with additional plate on the roof?

My buddy could have used a rail like that the day he rolled off the roof of his shelter in the middle of the night. :-P:-P It was fun watching him dangle off the side of the truck.

    My Hand brake lock

My old unit had square tube That was long enough to keep the brake handle from being released. You had to pull up on it to clear enough to release. That is a different idea though.

    M818 + M348 model

I know that is why I don't check it very often. I do like the Nike rocket they have now. Is that 4000 before or after the price conversion?

    M818 + M348 model

Here Ron, this is the site I mentioned earlier. Note I have not looked at the site just grabbed the link, have a nice M49 in 1/87. They also carry larger scales as well. www.united-fun.com

    M818 + M348 model

I am betting the truck in the background is a different scale, look at the jar and lettering on it (especially the bar code numbers). Pretty good looking truck either way. Don't think roco made the 818 but there was that one company in Germany that sold it. I don't have my comp close to get a...

    M818 + M348 model

For the top pic, I would say that is a 1/87 scale The paint jar is the give away. I would guess an early roco trailer.

    Turning radius?

A little, that is where planning comes in. Turn you wheel in the direction you want to back while moving forward. Make sense? It helps while backing to keep you from trying to catch the truck and make it track a little better.
  19. gunboy1656

    Turning radius?

All will depend on how good you are at planning your turn, and how fast you can turn the wheel without power steering.

    106 recoilless rifle help

The one we got came from Brent Mullins in TX. We have one that looks like it came from a jeep but might be modified. The correct one I found was 850 bucks.
