    Multifuel engine oil filter gaskets

Cool, sounds like no down sides. Out of curiosity, will the old canisters fit over the shinny new filters to keep it looking military? Not a big deal, just brain storming options for keeping the old look under the hood.

    Multifuel engine oil filter gaskets

I'm going to do my first filter change with the OEM filters after I get the truck, but plan on changing all filters to the Jatonka spin on filters as soon as I can. I like the anti-drain back feature of the oil filters to help get oil to the engine quicker on start up. Are there any tricks...

Pulled the trigger on a M820

I was also curious how the military configured the internals of the truck to take advantage of the space?

New ADDICT in City Code Enforcement

That wouldn't work, I would just end up wanting to keep everything.

New ADDICT in City Code Enforcement

I'm bringing home my first Deuce next week and hope this will not be an issue. I've called and City code enforcement and police about it. Neigher have a problem with it parked on the street. HOA will not allow it in the driveway overnight and would take issue with it parked on the street, but...

    CHOCK those tires!!

Wow, I have an old F-16 chock (yellow wooden type) that I was going to use, but saw the big hollow rubber ones at the store and picked one of those up thinking it was a safer choice. Now with everyone saying I need two, do I need to clone my USAF chock and avoid the hallow rubber one, or just...

why CUCV is better than a Deuce (just fun)

It's a Navy thing, they have it on their BDUs so if they fall overboard the sharks wont see them. mdmorgan, love the garage!

    M105a2 made of gold

I was looking at that one as well, but too many irons in the fire right now to buy at that price.

    Injector tip coking

Is there a reason why you pass the oil though a 5 micron before the 10 micron filter? I would think you would get better life out of your filters if you switched the order of those two unless you have another reason for doing it in that order with your particular set up.

    m 35 roof gunmount

I just bought one from Mark Coen, you might see if he had any more. He had an ad in the classified section.

Nice work, it looks very clean.

Price check - axle seal kit

Yes. I could see where a solid axle attached to the hub of the stearing axle may cause some push in the corners. :)

    Deuce/5 ton ROPS Kit?

So the idea is in a hard crash the cage could be ripped from the truck as long as it stayed intact. Thus adding the possible benefit of removing the 13,000 lb hammer.

    Deuce/5 ton ROPS Kit?

It's not a ROPS it is a light bar, gun ring, seatbelt rack. In no way is the device certified as a ROPS. ;) Actually it could also be sold as a kit with the buyer welding up the pieces.

Price check - axle seal kit

Per the above diagram would gear oil have access to the ends of the axle tubes between the hub and axle or is that sealed at the differential?

    air impact wrench

Cool, I will pick one up. Always fun to wave down the Snap on truck. ... it only hurts when you realize what you spent vs what you walked away with. :D

    air impact wrench

I saw that earlier. So why did they reverse the thread on one side of the vehicle? What do you carry in the vehicle to change a tire when impact is not available. (I mean beyond a cell phone and a checkbook. :) )

    Foreign made HMMWV copy

There was a story about some computer chips supplied to the US government that upon examination had been "hacked" where someone could turn them off remotely. I believe it turned out that the contractor had them made in China per the article. Unbelievable that we would design weapon systems...
