Pull all the fuses and clean them with a knife then lube with dielectric grease, same with the starter relay. This has solved multiple electrical gremlins in mine.
GLOWPLUGS...mine has the same problem. It will start with either every time though. Just use very little. I am getting mine replaced tomorrow. I have a front mount intake(ram air) so I spray a single spritz in there in the Am and she starts right up. Once it has heated up it will start no...
We will probably arrive before 5pm with trailer in tow. We are adding+2 to our original # as Chris's daughters are coming. Not sure if we are bring a deuce as of now.
Here is my letter please DON'T copy it and send it to Mr Fizgerald as I don't want him getting 40 copies of the same letter. Feel free to critique it as I don't plan on sending it till tomorrow and can add or subtract from it.
I am writing you in regards to the motor fuels tax stamp and...
I talked with John at the NC motor fuels tax division and yes we must comply. He seemed sympathetic and agreed that we were probably not the intended target but as we are driving 3 axle vehicles that we had to comply unless we get a variance from
NC Department of Revenue
Motor Fuels Tax...
Ok so the solution is what? Register as a commercial truck and get a CDL? Seems like a he!! of a lot of trouble and cost for a hobby and occasional hauling of items.
JC Whitney had all the rubber for the doors on mine I just need the rear window, they sent the wrong one. Also time for new glowplugs as mine are shot and I am tired of starting with either...
What about a regular plate like a car? Mine is registered and insured. I did not hide anything from anyone and have a regular plate.
so can I haul cargo? I have, Heck just the other day I had a trailer in the bed and towbared a m1008 back 2.5 hours from Va.
It depends. Are you going to be pulling stumps out and being off road the majority of the time? or are you going to be driving on the highway and taking passengers and want some fuel economy. The m1009 is solid, great daily driver, great on the highway. Can tow but is limited to smaller loads...
Also you may want to forget the speakers and go with headsets. Lower power and great on long trips as it muffles Deuce exhaust noise out also. I use my aircraft headsets with a splitter and a mp3 port so I can listen to my tunes when not talking to my passenger....It's AWESOME!!!:jumpin:
agreed with Rob, for the money the converter is the way to go, besides 24 to 12v pulls off both batteries so you aren't loading one more than another. If you just wired to one battery + and - then you would get 12v also but you would only load that battery and that is not good for battery life.
Works great to load one and haul one. I did this with 2 lube trailers. One in the bed and one behind on the hook. We have a loading dock that we can remove the one that is on the truck from.
