You ordered the QK-2050-D92 part number and it came with a bottle? They were going to include one with the QS-2002 that was a total of $132.20. I think that that kit was the kit without the retrofit fittings. Please get back with me as I will give them a call back to try and get one included.
There are several good threads on MPG, but your range is about right. I have only run a few tests, but on my M1009 I am getting about 20MPG. I am still fixing things though.
Personally I think you have it wrong about buying for the interior vs. body. I would rather have a sound body. Most...
I ordered it today. The price at Quickstart QK-2050-D92 is $125.60 plus shipping. That is without the ether bottle, but is the kit that is made to retrofit the M35 with and existing flame starter system. They can sell the bottles for $21.20 each, but they only ship in quantities of 12 due to...
That is one of the best air museums there is in my opinion. Better then the Smithsonian in many ways. You can actually get close, and touch many of the aircraft. When I was there last I don't remember seeing trucks though, but I might have not been really looking.
Does anyone have the actual QuickStart kit number that retrofits the flame starter to the ether? The NSN might work too. I talked to Tammy there and she seamed a little sketchy on the right number.
Ok I will look for that relay. I was reading past threads, and I got the idea that that relay told the alternators to charge. I had ruled that out before due to that thinking.
Well I checked the gauge and it appears to work. I also checked my charging voltages, and it does appear to be charging. I am betting that the problem is where ever that gauge actually connects to sense the charging voltage. Given what caused this I am expecting that to be located to the...
RE: SS
Wow that is so small compared to the ungainly military communications setups. I had been thinking of going this route, but I and definatly doing so now after seeing this. Do you by an chance know if the connectors on the David Clark H10-70 military aviation headsets is the same as the...
Interesting stuff there aboonski. I checked the fuse and it was ok, but I have not had time to do much other poking other them pulling loose the instrument panel. I managed to fix the instument panel lights, and the glow plug light. Unfortunatly I had to cut the grass before it started...
Nothing long winded about that writeup at all, just detailed. It is too bad he is nipping all those fenders to stuff the oversized tires in there. I would rather have more reasonable tires, and change things later if needed. He could at least have closed the openings up before painting to...
Are we talking about when the truck is working or not, because if we are talking about when it is not working then " Mother fucking god damn piece of flying shit " should do. Got to love that filter. Now I don't even need to self censor.
Alfa is what I was thinking too, but I could not remember the name. His site lists 36"Goodyear Wrangler OZ as the tire on a similar M1009. I was thinking they might be Hummer tires, but those are 37", right?
