I wish mine was there. It's behind the grill just inboard of the headlight. Does the grill itself come off? I really haven't looked too hard. I tried pulling the radiator overflow bottle but that doesn't get me there.
By the way, does anyone know if the overflow bottle is unique to the...
No, no problems at all. I've been driving it almost every day since I got it and it's been 100% even when it's cold here. The only negative right now is that I have to park it level or nose down if I'm not going to drive it for a day. I think the fuel filter has a very slight seep and nose-...
I found the clear lenses on ebay, in fact most of the parts that I didn't already have came from ebay.
On the back I was going to go with just black lenses and no lights. I didn't like the way it was looking so I cleaned up two of the amber lenses and was going to just use them without...
I converted a Whelen Edge police lightbar to an offroad light. I removed the strobes and flashers, modified the reflector cups, and installed HIDs. So now it has SIX 35 watt HID bulbs in the reflector cups, TWO 55 watt halogen bulbs in the corners, and I left the stock bulbs in the alley...
Mine was wasted when I got my M1009. I got all new parts from LMC and it works great without the lock cylinder installed. I have a lock but I can't figure out how to make it stay in.
Lube up all the tracks and gears inside the lift-gate. That will take some of the stress off the pot metal...
Mine came from Ft Lewis- previously a range truck. No serious rust whatsoever. Don't worry about rust here. I just changed out all my seals, there's a thread here somewhere.
Weight? What weight? It weighs like 125#, and even with several people in it there hasn't been a problem.
It works on trucks too: http://cascadiatents.com/images/med_1340982710.jpg

I wish I had read this before I had to figure mine out the long way. Nevertheless, I still can't get the lock cylinder out of the old crank to put it in the new one.
Does anyone know what's holding the lock cylinder in?
The aircraft tach will fit in the diagnostic bracket really well. You need to hog out the holes just a little bit, but otherwise it should fit really well. I have an aircraft clock in mine, and a similar looking oil pressure gauge waiting to install in another diagnostic bracket I picked up...
So the gauge is off-scale high?
Mine was stuck at ¼ full and only moved down from there. I did the troubleshooting procedure from the FM and the results said the indicator was bad. $60 for a new one and it's fixed. You start by disconnecting the ground wire which is bolted to the frame...
Start pulling fuses. Begin with the heater blower motor. Pull the fuses for whatever accessories you normally run- one at a time- until you figure out which is causing the high draw.
It used to be called SOAP testing.
Yeah, I'm old. We used to call long distance phone Autovon too, now it's DSN. The CBPO office isn't anymore either...
