Yes and other owners have found the tops of tubes cracked, cause air to be sucked into the fuel system.

There are no pumps in the tanks, just pickup tubes which are also problematic!

Today's diesel fuel has a lot less lubrication, adding 2 cycle oil lubricates the injection pump and the truck just seems to run quieter.

It appears to be a solid rod, tried drilling it out and my bit broke. I will have to find a piece of stock locally. Made a temporary fix. Also bought a complete set(4) of new mirrors for both sides on line, for less than $50, shipped. All the bolts and knuckles were rusted.

I have the same sound in my M931, but have found that adding about 6 oz of Walmart brand 2 cycle engine oil in the fuel tank works wonders. I have used it for years in all my diesel engines. Buy a gallon of it at Wally World.
