    Quick Compressor Q

Part no? Do you happen to remember the NAPA part number?

    Quick Compressor Q

My compressor is cycling on and off about every 2 seconds. I keep wondering if water froze in it this past winter and screwed something up. I was a Deuce "newbie" and didn't vent the air after driving every time. I screwed up- no two ways about that. I feel sure that's why my elbow in the air...

    Quick Compressor Q

My compressor has started to cycle on and off rapidly. Looks like I stilll have plenty of air according to the gauge. In fact, it reads almost 120! Couldn't find anything in the TM about rapid compressor cycling, so I'm assuming it's about to bite the dust. Also getting a thin film of oil on my...

I wonder if any of these were used in Hurricane Katrina relief?

    Lockout hub problem

Final word- was it worth it? I would say the front axle lockouts are well-worth the expense and they are certainly no problem to install. It really makes a difference in the way this beast steers. The center axle lockout? Not bad for cruising, but I'm not particularly sure it's worth the $510.

    another bullet muffler install

Installed the Dynomax 24216 last Saturday. Overall I would say it's a 20% reduction in noise when driving, but more like 30 to 40% when idling. I can't hear the Deuce inside the house when it's warming up like I used to :o All y'all doing this mod, there's a couple of things to watch for. 1)...

    air leak

I'd bet the leak is inside the tank right where the internal hard line feeds through the flange or the line has corroded enough to let air in. Sounds exactly like a problem I had with an MGB. When the tank was full it ran fine. Let it get down to half a tank and it would suck air and quit. The...

    Oh my god.....wife posted this

Here's the deal. If your hobby cuts into your budget without leaving her anything and/ or possibly cutting into the household finances, then I completely side with her. On the other hand, if you can truly afford it, I don't see why she should object, unless she's one of those that is influenced...

    WTH, Found a tank today.

Rally 'Round the Tank! Sounds like a winner to me too. Are there any other vehicles that use the same engine as the M-60 (civilian or military) :?:

    Sandblasting & CARC paint, Dangers...?

It's not the sandblasting media that's the problem. It's the CARC and the fact some of it gets crushed to powder as you sandblast. Don't wanna' breathe that! I'm no authority. A really good repirator (half face or full) with the organic/ paint cartridges (usually yellow and magenta in...

    Sandblasting & CARC paint, Dangers...?

No matter what kind of media you use, there will be small particles of CARC in the air. From what I've read, inhalation is the killer here. If it were me I'd use this: Hobby air, pro air, Fresh air respirator, SUPPLIED AIR RESPIRATOR, Axis, Citation, 3M, Bill Hirsch car care. To be honest, I...

Would there be any interest in an all Stainless steel brake line kit for a deuce?

Seein' how I'm replacing all my wheel cylinders and brake lines anyway, now would be the time to replace with SS. Hope to hear a price soon.

M35 Brakes. Warning signs ignored could have been serious

OK- I have everything to rebuild my brakes end-to-end. 1) Should I start with the wheel closest to the master and work my way back or does it matter? 2) Should I bleed them as I go or wait until I've replaced all the wheel cylinders/ hoses and then bleed? All advice welcome :D

    New noise and a scare

Thanks Energy (NRG)- I'll take care of that little chore tonight before the rain gets here. I have to say, despite the constant maintenance, owning a Deuce has been a pleasure. I can't recommend it enough to any fence sitter that may be here. :driver:

    New noise and a scare

So I drive the Deuce 3 hours back and forth to pull 4 trailers to the RV park (talk about tedious). Next day I start Tinkerbell up, put her in gear and get a grinding noise while engaging the clutch. It goes away as soon as the clutch is fully engaged. I drive it to the house to start work on it...
