Yeah, this winter has been nuts. We're getting 40F tomorrow after 45 days with below zero temps this winter. Average temp this time of year should be mid 20's - we've been lucky to see double digits! But that warm spell is short lived - high for Sunday is 2. :cookoo:

Also, at what point is the transfer case going to grenade? We already know it can't handle reverse in low range.
At least for the first 4 months or so, mine will be loaded to max for 50% of its miles. Fuel mileage is a bigger concern than getting up to 55mph (which happens to be the speed limit on the roads I'll be using).
You might want to call Allison tomorrow and ask them. I've never heard a bad word spoken about their stuff. I'd think their CS is probably pretty decent too. ;)
I'm not an auto tranny guy, but I don't think you'd have any problems if you had it in neutral or park.
It's a diesel - there's no spark plugs. You should be able to run it without an alternator once you get it started.
