need help finding TM with electrical schematics

I've tried looking through my collection of TMs but I can't find the electrical diagrams/schematics. Checking google I find them for other vehicles: http://trucks5ton.tpub.com/TM-9-2320-366-20-4/ On this page there are a set of Fold Out (FO) diagrams such as...

power steering gear slow leak - seals?

I noticed I am getting a leak from the power steering gear that pushes the pitman arm out of the passengers side where the plastic mud garde is. Looking in the TM I see this is a complete unit and no tear down information in the TM. Has anyone torn one of these down? Are the seals replaceable?

Might be time for a new project!? To sell or keep current truck? Your thoughts....

ok this is the whole diesel exhaust filter regen stuff. I saw a video youtube talking about all the bad things that can happen if regen does not work or there are leaks in the system. Sounds like a huge nightmare.

Might be time for a new project!? To sell or keep current truck? Your thoughts....

On paper the Unimog looks perfect but they are very expensive and finding parts in USA could be hard (I don't know). The LMTV looks to be an ideal platform because it is so simple and domestic parts are currently widely available. I have no fondness for any particular diesel engine so swaps are...

SRW swapping the rope to the rear - procedure?

All the recovery we have been doing involved a flat strap and regular shackles to vehicles. The permanent end of the steel rope is actually an odd size and we were forced to remove the cotter pin and main pin to attach shackles to it. It would be nice if we could find something that was easier...

SRW swapping the rope to the rear - procedure?

Based on out of band discussion. It looks like those pins should not be frozen in place but easy to manually remove. I'm going to use a BFH and some kroil to get them free. I will update when parts arrive.

Might be time for a new project!? To sell or keep current truck? Your thoughts....

What I mean is you could do significant chassis upgrades such as: Engine swap to a cummins (I don't think it's a good idea but it has been talked about) Significant engine tuning or swap lower power for high power or 3116 to 3126 Suspension upgrade convert to coil springs disk brakes...

Might be time for a new project!? To sell or keep current truck? Your thoughts....

A local guy bought a completed conversion for 20k cash. I know that there is huge market for built up overland vehicles. If you drive it to that meetup in Arizona (overland expo) with a for sale sign it will sell for certain. The folks I know locally get offered cash for their trucks frequently...

M1083 camper conversion idea......everything powered by diesel?

Here are my current ideas. GO Diesel! heating: in floor hydronic with radiators and forced air. Primary heat from water/water heat exchanger from engine. Secondary heat from a diesel hydronic furnace. Webasto probably. After heating goes to a "calorifier" (hot water tank) where it heats potable...

SRW swapping the rope to the rear - procedure?

background: My truck came with the SRW fitted. I went to an offroad park to get stuck and practice with the winch. As many people warned. It's much better to winch to the rear and pull yourself out of the mess you just drove into. :) Procedure: find the roller leads with the rope sticking out...

Did you ever get the Winch Mounted? I got a chance to use mine for the first time this weekend (practice). It actually pulls pretty fast and is easy enough to operate.

Essential Tools to have for an FMTV? Add your .02

I have a few more answers: Tire change: I am buying a torque multiplier. There are many on the market that all appear to be the same tool with a different case. The most expensive one is called a "Cheater Wrench". Numerous clones found both on Amazon and Ebay. I bought one that ~$50 which...

LMTV Alternator Disaster, engine now catastophic

Update: Had new drive shafts fabricated and fitted. Have done a few hours of freeway driving on them now. The truck is no longer shaking violently and is actually becoming nice to drive. No longer losing the alternator bolt. Have checked it recently it's still on and tight.
