    batteries in lmtv?

That's an awesome find. I didn't realize you could buy those independent of the vehicles. They are based on the 18650 lipo battery pack. . The great thing about the tesla battery packs is the packaging and cooling. Now that I know they are available I'll look to see if I can integrate them into...

    batteries in lmtv?

I had a ballistic performance Lithium motorcycle battery. I never ended up installing it because some other owners had put them in bikes and had a hard time getting the bike started in 32 degree F or lower temp. I believe you can store them safely at lower temps but you won't be able to use them...

    batteries in lmtv?

I am going to stick with the simple Lead Acid 6T batteries in my vehicle. I plan on converting the bed to an RV where I will put a LiFePo4 as a house battery. I will use the "starting batteries" to start the vehicle and run loads in the cab like GPS and Radios. I will most likely add a 1-2kw...

    batteries in lmtv?

No one got the pricing on the LiFePo4 batteries. I did send a RFQ but never got a response. The mass does not make any sense. The 6T AGM is like 86 lbs. LiFePo4 is like 10x energy density on Lead Acid. http://www.batteryspace.com/batteryknowledge.aspx by mass it should be 1/5. That puts it at...

    Adding Backup/360 Cameras

Now onto completely experimental setups. It looks like you can stitch images from cameras (stills and video) in real time or in post production using opens source software: https://www.pyimagesearch.com/2016/01/25/real-time-panorama-and-image-stitching-with-opencv/ It should be technically...

    Adding Backup/360 Cameras

Scabskunk. Any recommendations on network cameras? I have installed and used a few generations of entry level IP cameras and I know the quality keeps going up and price going down. The early generation it was hard to use them on all platforms due to dedicated apps but I think they are fixing...

    Adding Backup/360 Cameras

Looking at amazon you can get some very high LED count ones like: https://www.amazon.com/CMVision-IR130-Outdoor-300-400ft-Illuminator/dp/B004F9LF7E/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1520573869&sr=8-2&keywords=ir+floodlight or something cheap and possible...

    Adding Backup/360 Cameras

The camera I have does get dirty often and the night vision only works well if there are no other lights around. To make the night vision more effective I plan on using IR LED flood lights. I hope I can find ones that will survive well. I do have a raspberry pi and camera setup. The camera is...

    Adding Backup/360 Cameras

I know for certain he video stitcher box takes 4 inputs and generates one output. You can run that to a 2-4 port DVR and you will get the stitched image recorded along with any other optional cameras you have. If you want to record the 4 cameras by themselves before stitching you can split the...

    Adding Backup/360 Cameras

I think they use a video splitter to take either the screen output or the video direct from the cams and send it to the DVR. The DVR I have seen clearly have onique inputs per camera. I have not seen any outputs. I'll look into it more.

    Adding Backup/360 Cameras

This is a HowTo and general discussion of Cameras on the LMTV. My truck came with a camera and screen pre-installed but due to odd wiring it made/making my voltmeter not work. In another thread: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?176889-adding-new-circuits-to-the-fuse-box-how we...

adding new circuits to the fuse box - how?

If your truck has the factory installed Tach and Gage hump there are "spare" wires left in for switches. I'm going to go figure out where they run to. :) The rocker switch I purchased has a light so I also need to locate the circuit for the backlight.Current Parts List: dill blox wire...

adding new circuits to the fuse box - how?

On the bottom of those luggs there are wires that run to each relay/breaker socket. This is information if you want to use an unused socket ot add another relay or breaker for your new circuit. If you use an external fuse box or inline fuses that would not be necessary.

adding new circuits to the fuse box - how?

With some help from google images it looks like each quick disconnect connector is retained in with a yellow plastic retainer. The box supports 5 different connector types. Connector Types: 93 PAOZZ 19207 12419928-002 .TERMINAL,QUICK DISC (D1-D3,K2,K6, K8-K13,K15,K19,K20,K24,K27,K28...

adding new circuits to the fuse box - how?

I ordered and installed a new volt meter only to discover last night that it also does not work. So I believe the previous owner did some "custom" work when installing the backup camera. I now need to find his handy work and undo it. I would like to use one of the unused sockets/breaker...
