papakb, thanks for the info but my batts were low. The voltmeter dropped basically all the way down and it turned over real slow. On that note I will be going through and cleaning all the connections and seeing how it responds.

It will burn basically anything but it is recommended to stick with either gas or diesel. I personally run mine on diesel because it is safer.

I checked the voltage and it is on the low side and when I turned the screw nothing happened so I suppose the regulator is shot.

If the solenoid is working correctly I would replace the bendix drive, but if the solenoid seems shady it would not hurt to put a new one on. I had this happen once and my bendix was failing and it cause the solenoid to fail.

Maybe the bendix drive is not engaging all the way

I am glad they are going to keep them around. They would last a lot longer if people treated them nicer over there. I have seen what people do in them and it is no wonder they have problems quicker.

Does anyone have any brackets for the condenser for the slant backs or can someone make them? I seem to be missing my brackets and I am in a bit of a time crunch and can't fabricate these myself.
