...and that is why I am here, to learn this stuff.
Right now the LED option is looking good and installing
my first solar system is in the running as well. It will give
me a lot of knowledge I NEED.
Any Solar guys here?
I still say any company that will sell simple solar systems...
Yea....there dated 1987 but I do have all 4 of what
I think are called the defusers, meaning the clear-ish
covers for the lights and not wanting to tear it all out
because that means $ to put it all back. We'll figure
sumthang out eventually.
Sure, cutting off the connector and 4 wire nuts and I will be done
I guess...
I am beginning to believe that the ballasts were plundered
BECAUSE they are made out of unobtainium.
I may need to think this a bit harder.
If OEM parts are not there to be had cheap then maybe I should
consider...
I picked up a 10' EMI container yesterday fro GL Barstow.
The Fluorescent lights have been raped. The ballasts and bulbs
are gone.
The lamps are easy because there is a stamp that says;
RELAMP W/ F40T12CW A quick search and I see these
lamps are easy to get. The ballasts have no such label...
Give a man a piece of metal pre-formed and shaped to the man's current
desires and he will be appeased for a day. Teach a man to pre-form and
shape a piece of metal into his liking and he shall open up a whole
new world unto him. Artisan 2:55

I am concerned about ICE expanding inside things.
Pray things are Ok but don't be surprised if it has issues.
Better yet, might be best to just spend a couple G's and
ship it to me in sunny So Kalif so I can dry it out proper!
One hellofa1stpost BTW!~ :-)
The nut that holds on your spare tire is NOT the same OD size as a lug nut.
This could be a rude awakening on the side of the road so I decided to
fix it. A little CAD drawing, cut a sleeve out of .75" steel w/ the water jet
and TIG it together into a proper sized nut! One less thing to do on...
RE: NHC250 Engines
I have learned a few things about the NHC 250 that really should be a sticky
for all new owners. You MUST do the mandatory visual eyeballing of the insulation
that is around the Main power feed lines, + and -, from the battery to the starter,
checking for insulation wear...
All these trucks are all screaming for awesome modifications like Wehring
has oh so skillfully done. I like yours better than mine! It's too bad
the LMHC for the LMTV's is so scarce.
CLICK HERE to see mine and hear me gloat in a you tube.
I started to delete it but it is funny...
How many times has a retired veteran, a victum now, because that good kid
from the past didn't get fried, and got away w/ it in the past, been forced to replace something that
some kid who was "maybe", once a good kid, how many times has someone
been forced to replace something, and then later...
Great thread! Awesome work by all.
I grabbed a couple of these winches recently and I found a little bit of
documentation / parts / exploded views for these Series 18 winches.
If anyone has any proper sized fairleads I might need a couple of them.

Series 18 Winches
I am considering adding a winch to my truck(s) .
I grabbed a couple of MRAP take offs from GL Hooks Texas
a week ago or so, I await their arrival to see if I bought trash
or if I did OK.
The documentation for these from Warn is slim. I was able to
dig up some good info...
