    What seal did I blow?

There are two kinds of 5 Ton owners. Those who have replaced the front axle boots, and those who are going to have to do it... Not real hard, a bit tedious, read and learn...

Steering shaft part? ID assistance needed M915 M916

It is probably off a current use truck. Thus secretive. I can't find it anywhere, with 42 of them I hope you can get creative! PTO Shafts? Maybe a PTO warehouse can use them?

    M 925 Drivers Seat Replacement

I took delivery on two of THESE BABIES from GL just yesterday. They are sealed in factory boxes. Should be plenty of room drivers side, passenger side, we will have to move batteries but I want to do that anyways to address the worn insulation on the battery cables that most 5 tons suffer...

Arte Johnson, from Rowan and Martins Laugh-In used to say; Verrrrrry Interrressstinggg... I just glanced at the above link and found this lil nugget; "snip...but for the ones that have air to release and have spring suspension I cut down a set of caging bolts to 3 inches and spot welded the...

The Ever so common "Do I need a CDL" thread

Regarding the cost to get a CDL. It all revolves around YOUR ability to understand what you are taught, and retain that information. Trying to do it all on your own via you-tube and a buddy is possible but you still need a good truck to take the test in. A school provides that. And they...

The Ever so common "Do I need a CDL" thread

IMO; Need? IMO, Absolutely. I look at the CDL thing this way. A good lawyer could probably convince most juries that federal law trumps any state law, so if you did damage, property or life, and if you do not have a CDL and current medical, they could get a conviction and go after your...

That data plate would be easy to draw in CAD and have a water or lazer cutter punch it out. Mail it to me and I will draw it. Also there are data plate people who do just data plates... I do not have that contact info, search will find it.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

#1 Each scenario calls for a different approach. perhaps; Hit them w/ PB Blaster for DAYS prior to attempt to remove. Use a PROPERLY SIZED screwdriver tip. Seat driver tip and smack it w/ a hammer WHILE you are turning counterclockwise AFTER YOU HAVE CLEANED TEH SLOTS OF PAINT AND RUST ETC...

    Need some new nuts

Job #1 when you buy ANY vehicle is to pull all lug nuts and make sure they are removable BEFORE you need to take them off. I carry a telescoping cheater, 3 telescoping pipes, plus the solid bar. I have never had one not come off, or break. I am sure my day is coming though. Give me a big enough...
