I would second that request but I fear the some of the old guard is burned out on SS.
Sure do wish some of the old timers who are flat out genius's w/ the LET's would
start hangin' around SS again. Thank goodness for the search function
but nothing like talkin' to the horses mouth so to speak...
I need to put a 2" 5th wheel plate on my new M916 that came stock w/ a 3.5" plate.
I "THINK" the proper corse of action is to;
1- REMOVE THE 2 REAR RAMPS
2- REMOVE THE 3.5" PLATE
3- REMOVE THE OE 5TH WHEEL LOWER ASSEMBLY
4- REMOVE THE SPACER UNDER 5TH WHEEL
So now I am down to a bare frame...
Us m915, M916, m920 guys need to lobby for an M915/m916/m920 area of our own.
the 5ton plus area is overwhelmned w/ info... Were in a completely different boat
w/ the LET's ... Hint Hint
Ahh Rapid City, just down the freeway from Sturgis.
I RODE MINE 70Th
2005 Road Glide, SE top end +++ 26 days gone, a full 6 days
in a motel, the rest in a tent, when I got home there was 5555.5 miles on my TripOmeter...BELIEVE IT.
Yep, charge each battery individually overnight till your charger says it is at 100%.
After you do this you will be amazed at how fast it spins and your batteries will be all charged up but good.
Of corse you can use 2 chargers at once. Just pull cables.
Been there done that.
Way to hang on and come out smilin' Brad.
A GL employee told me "the government challenged the sale of these trucks" .
It probably had everything to do with; Are they appropriate for civilians to use
on USA public roads?
I was all smiles when I received a PAID INVOICE for my M916. During...
With all due respect;
I highly recommend you get the TM's and start reading. Additionally you will
learn massive amounts of info if you go to a school like DOOTSON and get
a Class B CDL. You do know you need a Class B w/ Air brake endorsement
to drive that truck legally right? I suspect...
You guys rock...
In Post #86 I believe Sir Soni suggested he was going to start another thread.
Did indeed that happen and if so can someone link me please?
I am a few years after you guys and a sponge at that.
Give me a little time and I will handle the M916 noobs! HA!
(I resemble that~...
Well, I am trying to find out what fits and what does not fit so as not to
reinvent the wheel. I can't make any decisions till I see some hard facts.
I do know there is a unit where the evap unit bolts to the floor in the front
and THAT would be a bad deal. If (and when) and need ot access...
I got a little more info today and Thank U NDT.
If anyone has more info please chime in, I sure do wish there was a forum
for the M915's M916's and M920's instead of being grouped
w/ the lil' 5 tonners .... ;-) (See my sig, my M916 has not been added yet!)
But all kidding aside it is needed...
Does anyone know exactly what tractors have A/C in them?
I could swear I saw an M915 w/ A/C but I look at the TM and find
nothing.
In a nutshell I have an M916 and I want to put A/C in it and
I seek the proper Red Dot kit part number.
Was it not an M915 but an M915A1 I was looking at or...
As much as I would absolutely LOVE an armored beast I know that
it would be impossible to keep them out of the hands of those whom
would use them in felonious ways. Bank Robbers, Terriorists, and idiots
then the spotlight would be on the MV hobby as a whole and THAT would
lead to a LOT of stuff...
Nope, I purposely went for the M915 (no suffix) Cummins, Cat 7155
The A1's 2'3 and 3's have all been going for over 25K.
I guess for the wrap around cockpit and A/C.The Detroit
engine is known for HUGE money when repairs are needed,
so is my CAT 7155 but I have learned a LOT about them. I...
How are you going to orientate the rear cab?
Will you make it so all doors on one sides open
the same or will try the rear cab around and make
suicide type of doors AND keep the open able windows
at the rear with rear wipers too! Gawd that would be so cool!
I have looked at this job a friend...
