Anyone with a 5 ton & tow bars in OK or KS?

Glen is very close to Fort Riley. Can't remember his screen name off the top of my head. I know he does recoveries but not sure if he does transportation.

5 ton multi fuel fuel system question

Does the engine turn over at all? If water got all the way to the injectors at the head it could be hydro locked. Bypass all the filters and using a portable tank of fuel see if you can get fuel to the injectors that way. Make sure you either have a new fuel jug or one that has absolutely no...

5 ton Bobsled, Recovery assistance near Berkeley Springs WV

This is coming from an old transportation soldier that has never recovered a truck in deep snow like that but I did take the Army "Vehicle Recovery and Evacuation" course. I've recovered a lot of them from mud and once off the side of a mountain in Korea. I would get a like sized vehicle with...

    Ultimate 5 ton tractor

Or you could buy my already modified M927. Take the bed off, do the extension and move the axles back.

    The VTCS m756a2 Pipeline Truck

I let one of those get away from me several years ago. Still kicking myself in the buttocks for that. Last I heard David Doyle still had it.

DOD changes ID requirement for base access (Enforcing RealID)

If you have a valid military ID (active duty, retired, reserve or national guard) you will have no problem. If not you will have to be vetted and (depending on the security level) you will either have to get a pass or be escorted while on base. A sad commentary on our times.

M925A2 Trailer Made From M923A1 Truck

Pretty amazing build. Too bad you're not closer I'd sell you the 20 foot bed off the M927. I got the whole trailer up for sale in the classifieds (see pics on page 2 of this thread). I also have a 20 foot ISO bed off a Marine Corps truck but I may take the 5th wheel of the M927A2 and put the...

Couldn't find the railroad forum :) M123 Moves RR Station

I know where two are in Alabama now. Rough but restoreable.

    current mv seat canvas color

I used the Army Shelter halfs (GP Tinys) to recover a seat for the M275. Some of the vendors here may have them in stock.

    M925 a1 armored crew cab

Here is a pic that may or may not help. Taken at an undisclosed location by an unknown individual. I have some more but for some reason they won't load.

Adding oil to fuel of m35a2

Back in the day when I was an over the road driver we would add a can of automatic transmission fluid to a tank of fuel to "lube the injectors". I'm not sure if this worked or was just an "old truckers tale" but we did it. Of course that was when diesel was .35 cents a gallon and a can of...

    Newbie questions regarding brake work

All hobby vehicles require maintenance and the funding to do that maintenance. If you can only afford the truck but not the parts to keep it in safe operation you might want to consider waiting a while. You are also going to have to consider insurance, tags and where to keep it if your local...

    We can Transport it!

Do you book "Hotshot" rigs? I have an M275 that might need a ride to a new owner. Weighs less than a deuce and would fit on a gooseneck. Trip would be about 200 miles one way. Buyer would be paying the freight.

    That truck looks oddly familiar.

I'm going to get in trouble with this thing...

After this movie came out I was never able to ride in a Huey afterward without hearing it in my head. The fact that I took door gunner training in Hueys in the early 1970's (the 101st Airborne Division had just got back from Nam when I got there) has made them my favorite chopper bar none and I...

Needed assistance, New M920 owner Ele problem.

The older M915/M916/M920's all had electrical gremlins. I sat on the side of the road until daylight on a recovery trip because the headlight switch went teats up. Parts are available through NAPA. If you open the dash panel and look for the big solenoid you can sometimes jump across the...

    Looking at a '53 M108 Gasser

Wreckers are money pits no doubt about it. But when you need one you usually really need one. Of the two wreckers I have had in my possession I have never towed a truck with them as intended. I find it it a lot easier to flat tow with the M927A2 since the M936A2 is a toad in the road when...

    934 Heaters

Most of them should have been abated. There should be a MWO tag if the asbestos has been removed or covered over.
