    PEASHOOTER's M109A3 CAMPER Build Thread

Temp install the rub rail and tack weld the 2 halves together, then remove and finish weld them. That will eliminate one gap for water intrusion, plus it gives the rail a smoother appearance. Just a suggestion.

Steel Soldiers MV of the month 2016 - August VOTE HERE!

I really can't compete with these other guys, I've just taken a truck and modified it to my needs for off-roading and light lifting.

mrap 50-50 offset wheels on a deuce

If you still have all 6 tires, you can't go any taller without modification of the rear suspension. The tires almost touch already.http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/57b48ebe97315/IMG_20140724_172004720.jpg Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

mrap 50-50 offset wheels on a deuce

No, the last pic is with the tire on a mrap wheel, the pic with the cut fender is on a PLS trailer wheel, like what was posted at the start of the thread. The tire sticks out about 5.5" further than the mrap. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

mrap 50-50 offset wheels on a deuce

Just for a side by side reference, same truck (before wife bashed it into a tree), same tire, mrap wheel.

mrap 50-50 offset wheels on a deuce

Closer pic of width, I think the camera angle was making the other pic look like the tires were angled.

Sorry for the individual posts, not sure how to get more than 1 pic at a time from my tablet. This was my fix for the j pipe interference.

This one kinda shows the width. With this off-set, say goodbye to your j-pipe though.

mrap 50-50 offset wheels on a deuce

Those look like PLS trailer wheels, I'm running those all the way around my deuce. I'll try to remember to get some pics and post them.

    M129A2C Camper Conversion

Just outside of Maryville. You may have seen a pic of my deuce on "The Dragon" with a mini bike on the back.

Left them on the 5 ton wheels, the valve stem on the inner wheels just barely pinched against the brake drum.

No, I found that the windows are leaking, even though we sprayed the foam over them, gotta fix that, but other than that, still the same. Working on 2 houses that are 250 miles apart + work + other higher priority projects keep pushing this to the back burner. Being an adult sucks sometimes.

    M129A2C Camper Conversion

Oh and I think they are a little wider as well due to the more squared off shoulders.

    M129A2C Camper Conversion

I swapped all 8 tires in the back, that pic was to kinda show before and after. They are standard 11r20 g177's that come on a lot of 939 series 5 tons. One bonus that I was not expecting, was that the g177's were taller that the 11r22.5s that came off, so higher top speed.
