    Who Bought Those Oshkosh MK-48s???

I've never driven the MK48 but the regular HEMMT's will run 65-70 and easily keep up with traffic. In fact it is easy to get that big Detriot wound up and hauling arse. If you want them driven back and can have insurance on them Ron and I can drive them down for you for a lot less than...

    Whats It worth?

If you did the fabbing the chances of getting what you have in it is prob low. That being said there are people that would jump on that truck in a heartbeat. It's only worth what someone with cash in hand is willing to pay for it.

    Who Bought Those Oshkosh MK-48s???

I got an email from Luis. They (the contractor that operates the base) won't provide me with a POC. I'll do some snooping and pooping and see if I can ferret out somebody that actually works there.

    Who Bought Those Oshkosh MK-48s???

I'm not sure GL has too much pull once the paperwork hits DLA......I think it's the luck of the draw as to who's desk it lands on and how swift they are at doing the required background checks. Unless you are a first time buyer the process has been taking a week or two (the one on my M927 took...

    Length of M927/928 bed

20 feet. I think there is one for sale in the classifieds. Sounds like a plan. It would look really cool with the troop seats, bows and tarp installed.

    Who Bought Those Oshkosh MK-48s???

OK guys I just got off the phone with Louis the J'vill GL guy. I have his email so I can keep him updated on our little project. He said he would be willing to work with us to do a mass recovery. This will actually help them in that this is not a GL site but a Marine Detachment located on...

    military convoy

It may be a Reserve or National Guard unit doing drivers training. I would not advise trying to join a real military convoy due to the threat briefings that units get all the time. I doubt if they are carrying weapons or ammo but you might get a vist from some guys in dark suits driving...

Finally! Got my MKT75A up and running

They are a lot of work but we have a lot of fun cooking for the GA Rally on Mike's MKT. This year should be really great since we will have multiple units up and running.

    First Time GL Buyer

I would recommend previewing the truck......CUCV's are notorious for electrical problems and for the electrical system being butchered by well meaning idiots who think it's better to take short cuts than to fix it properly. Gl sells a lot of good trucks.......and a lot of lawn ornaments. You...

    Who Bought Those Oshkosh MK-48s???

So we have 3 going to FL, one to MO, one to OK, one to IN, one to MN and possibly one to WI. I have the phone number for a trucker in Orlando that would prob make a deal on delivering all three of the FL trucks. This is beginning to get interesting.:jumpin:

Locked up cummins in the M923

I don't know what you got in it but you prob won't get much more than scrap value. They are scrapping out trucks in Mississippi every day and pulling good running engines out of them. That's a long way to ship an engine but if the price is right you can save the truck. PM me for contact info.

m923 from saginaw, tx to waldo, fl

I have the contact number for a trucker that runs out of Orlando that has made two hauls for a fellow SS member. PM for details.

You will need civy tow lights also. Magnetic is good....zip tying them on the trailer is better.

Here we go again with the H.O.A

What's ironic about your situation is that if the snow was azzhole deep to a giraffe your neighbors would love the deuce if they needed to be pulled out of a drift.:roll: Nobody loves a soldier until the enemy is at the gate.

    Who Bought Those Oshkosh MK-48s???

That works for me Ron.....you could ride down with me. For the guys north of me it would save 460 miles of freight charge. Right now the count is two going north and two going west and one going south.

    Who Bought Those Oshkosh MK-48s???

OK guys....since I am in need of an adventure fix may I submit a proposal.......I would be williing to go to J'ville and make sure all of your trucks get on trucks or off post to a safe harbor. They would all have to be picked up on the same day or in a very narrow window (no more than three...

    1965 M52A2,EX Air Force truck?

When I was at Fort Benning we had some 48 foot drop deck lowboys that had AF paint and markings under the camo. We always referred to them as "the Air Force trailers". It would stand to reason if they had tactical trailers they had tactical tractors to pull them with. You might check with the...
