    Only in a Huey!

There is no other sound in the world like the "WOP WOP WOP" of a Huey. One flew near the farm theother day while I was on the tractor and I stopped and listend to it until it was gone......brought back some good memories. I couldn't tell what kind of markings were on it......I'm not sure if...

    M936 - Prices?

It depends on where you buy them, condition and how bad you want one. Not many indidviduals buy wreckers to flip for a profit.....it ties up a lot of capital. The big surplus dealers are real proud of theirs.

    Who Bought Those Oshkosh MK-48s???

We had a feast at a Chinese place......I drank my yearly beer and am dizzy. The truck we drove down has been delivered and we are chillin at FOB Holiday Inn about 2 miles from the Primary Objective. Tomorrow will be an exercise in logistics as we have three trucks scheduled to load that will...

Large Military convoy from AL to IN

If your Aunt Fredia had balls she'd be your Uncle Fred. If I had a hight speed video camera I would.....Uncle Sam insisted on taking back the one I was issued. If for some reason I get up that way on convoy day I'll try to at least get some still pics.

Official 2012 SS Ga Rally Info thread

The big test in boiled peanuts is the "squishy factor". They should hold together when being picked from the shell but mash nicely between your teeth. And they have to have the correct degree of salty.....not brinned to death but salty enough the make you want to sip something after a few...

Official 2012 SS Ga Rally Info thread

MMMMMMMM................boiled peanuts and cheesey grits........can't get more country than that. I'll be recreating my famos SOS breakfast gravy. Excellent topping for grits. I'm drooling like a starving dog in a butcher shop.

    WMO and the 8V92TA

It had a 13 speed Road Ranger and low geared rear end. This was in 1977-78 time frame.

    WMO and the 8V92TA

Back in the day I drove a Freightliner with a 318 Detriot in it.......I was not a happy camper in that we did not have a mechanic that knew how to tune one up. They would pour the oil from oil changes into the bulk fuel tanks and then use that fuel in the trucks (when we fueled on the yard)...

    Deuce (Multifuel) just won't start

Once you do all the above and you still want to try to pull start it put it in Low Range, 3rd gear.....the engine will turn at a higher speed but being in Low will not strain the driveline.

    First time EUC

No but you (normally) have to have a valid credit card to establish a GL account (unless you are a big company) and enough of a history in various data bases to be cleared by a background check (which is the purpose of the EUC, Uncle wants to know who is buying his used toys). GL does not take...

    WMO and the 8V92TA

It would smoke like a coal burning locomotive (added to the smoke it already produces burning the oil used to lube it). The double brested Yamaha likes very clean fuel. If you filtered it down to the point it looked like new oil you could prob run a 80/20 mix. Replacing an injector that was...

There are several good threads on equipping for a recovery. Search is your friend. The short answer is everything you can think of and then some. Spare filters are top of the list.....primary and secondary.

Every hobby needs it's young guns. I've met a lot of good kids and young adults since getting addicted to Green Iron. This is not the worse thing that could be passed on to them.

    M916 CAT 7155 Problem

Contact Rracing here on the forum.....he is the Cat Tranny guru. That transmission is air actuated and has a lot of solonoid and valves in it. My guess is that moisture is settling in somewhere and freezing up causing lack of air to the reverse......but I could be wrong.
