    Moving a 5ton gasser

I flat towed a deuce from Arkansas to AL with a deuce.....most of it Interstate and four lane state roads. You are going to be a toad in the road and having Peterbuilts blowing by you at 80 MPH is unnerving.... I still remember our SS brother that got killed when he was rear ended by a...

    ldt bellhousing SAE size.

You will prob be real disappointed in the LDT in a 5 ton. I had a LDS multi in a 5 ton tractor and it would not pull the hat off your head.

    NHC-250 Engine Troubles

There are hundreds of M931's coming out of Camp Shelby...some are going straight to the scrapper.....you may be able to get a good running engine for scrap price.

    HRS break down

So it has a CAT in it? Did Oshkosh finally wise up and kick the double breasted Driptriot to the curb?

    Runaway Wrecker

The O-rings in the fuel selector switch are notorious for drying out and allowing air to be sucked into the system. That would be my first suspect. I had that problem on my 816 and had to bypass it.

    Runaway Wrecker

Having had a wrecker with the 250 Cummins in it that ran away I can tell you that it is not a pleasent experience. If motor oil is getting into one of the cylinders from some source it could cause it to do that and put out the smoke. In my case fuel had filled up the crankcase and that...

How many ways does government liquidation suck let me count the ways!

I have found that the (mis)management in AZ (not the ladies in the trenches) are just as concerned with my customer satisfaction now (after having bought over 30 vehicles and assorted other stuff) as they were when I bought my first deuce.:roll:

Met the former driver of my Deuce

O.D., You are the Man. There are a lot of people that would never consider what a vehicle could mean to a veteran. I still have fond memories of the deuce I drove in Germany back in the 70's. That truck can help him heal in ways that modern medicine never could. I salute you...

    I need an intervention

Some guy came in and tried to start a 12 step program.....he now owns 2 deuces, 1 CUCV, three M105 trailers and was last seen on GL muttering "so many vehicles....so little money".

    Hardcore Pawn bobbed 5 ton

I think they should be called "unreality" shows. Too much drama about nothing. The tow truck shows are especially irritating. Well....those and the "see how many alligators can be killed by the inbred swamp people".

    USAF M36's...?

As I understand it the M36 was designed to carry reloads for a now obsolete missile system....that's why only one side (passenger) of the bed drops down. The Air Force may have had some to do that kind of duty.

M35 series cold weather hood and side covers

I have found that the best way to resolve that issue is to never live anywhere that requires installing a winter front or block heater on anything.

    900 series 5 ton cabover

I started driving commercially in 1977 and have driven just about every misbegotten design ever inflicted on truck drivers. International 4070 single axle, White Road Commander (Road Commode), Petes, KW's. Freightliners, etc. The Whites were notorious for the wiring catching on fire going down...

    Classifieds-How to post new ad?

So the tech support guy says to me "It's so simple a 10 year old can do it". So I said to him "then why didn't you have a 10 year old do it before you put it in the fricking box".

    M35A3 beacon lights

The kits had a Federal Stock Number and were ordered and installed by individual units. I was in a HETT unit that had two beacons on each tractor and two beacons on each trailer. When we convoyed it looked like a disco light show. I found them annoying and distracting at night. A unit...

Load Out Assistance Needed at Redstone, Huntsville AL

Mission complete. I rolled out of bed at dark thirty and fixed me and Elmo some breakfast. We then PMCS'd the M9i5 and headed out to Redstone.....I picked up my buddy Dale (a SS member but his screen name escapes me) on the way since he had some items to pick up. No issues with the trip...
