    Concept ever tried by Military???

The civilian market had a few concepts.....the only problem was you had to have such big balls to drive it you couldn't fit in the cab.

    m35a2 deuce not running

I have bought a lot of trucks from GL. The only one that had a bad engine was the M816 Wrecker (my most expensive piece of yard art). That being said, a lot of them had small things wrong....many that turned out to be major headaches (bad brakes and electrical). Parts are available and usually...

OK guys... M35 not bad, 818... piece of cake now this!!!

I think it is road legal.... if not just get permits.......drive that sucker home.....basically the same engine/driveline setup as the HEMMT. The engine in the back is for the pumps. Just turn on the lights and "HAMMER DOWN". It would be the trip of a lifetime. That double breasted...

    C-141 Starlifter - 1st flight photos

Once and a while you will see them being scrapped on GL...usually at the aircraft bone yard in Arizona.....an ignoble end for a great airplane. I used to see them dropping Airborn troops at Fort Benning.

    EUC pickiness

One thing to watch is the expiration date on your drivers license. They keep them on file and if yours is expired they will kick it back. They kicked one of mine back for that and I had to jump through my wazoo to get it in before defalt. Little things will sneak up and bite you on the azz.

    Turned up Deuce

I swear no possums were used in the production of the spaghetti sauce at the last GA Rally. As to Papa Bears insinuation about the murder of a hapless deuce by my creative use of laquer thinner..... "I DENY EVERYTHING AND DEMAND PROOF"

    Turned up Deuce

Zak, Welcome to the Green Iron Loony Bin:cookoo::cookoo: Turning fuel to a diesel is a tricky thing.....unless you are well versed in diesel technology you can get yourself into a lot of trouble with fuel. Just because you can't feel excess heat does not mean you are not building heat...

    EUC pickiness

The good news is that once you get it right you can send the same one in over and over.....just change date and event number. White Out is your friend.

    Price check on various parts...

If anybody needs a brand new bustle rack (the rack on the back of the turret where the crew stowed their gear) off an M1 let me know.....I'll make you a real deal.

    Which Trucks have Wet Lines?

To the best of my fuzzy recolection the M916, M920 and M923 did not have wet kits. They did have hydrolic winches and if you need to power an auxillary piece of equipment you could make an adaptor.

A Electric Deuce, in a DUMBS (Deep Underground Military Base)?

The Loony Tunes theme should be playing in the background.
  16. wreckerman893

anyone know what these brackets are for

It is a drop side bed.....when you lower the sides those act as bumpers so the side won't get pushed back too far if a forklift hits it.

A Electric Deuce, in a DUMBS (Deep Underground Military Base)?

That makes more sense than any other explanation. And the Head Zombie is.............
  18. wreckerman893

Any one knows of a M35 bed on a CUCV?

Trailers are made by different contractors to the same specs. Most appear to be identical unless a mod was authorized.

My M35 is a movie star

Registering with your local Film Commision can lead to roles for you and your MV's. You can "rent" your vehicles and equipment to production companies......just don't let them do the driving.

A Electric Deuce, in a DUMBS (Deep Underground Military Base)?

One of those "Super Secret" sites in that video is Chyenne Mountain Wyoming......not much of a secret....one was an underground site just south of Seoul in South Korea. I have driven through it (I was a driver for a Signal Batallion Commander over there in 92-93). Some of the still shots with...
