GL is extremely helpful when it comes to preview.

I don't know about pull......but taking a box of doughnuts in once in a while is a good way to win friends. I just treat folks the way I want to be treated and don't get pushy if they are covered up. One of the reasons I get in and out easy is because I have a military ID.....and I have been...

Any one knows of a M35 bed on a CUCV?

I would consider a small generator trailer bed....smaller than a deuce or M105 and still looks miltary.

Should there be a SE US show??

If you are in your new LZ by the end of Oct. the GA Rally (or Clinto's Rally) is the place to be for a SteelSoldier.

GL is extremely helpful when it comes to preview.

I was at Redstone today and made a pickup....went smooth and I was allowed to preview since I had an appointment and someone else had not shown up. Teresa is a gem to work with but the Head Shed out west has cut her staff (even while shipping in a butt load of stuff). The phone was ringing off...

    Kentucky Sale?

Most vehicles are being sent to regional sales sites (such as Redstone in Ala) on the taxpayers dime. This allows an unnamed on line auction company to maximize it's profit by not manning the storage sites. I have bought trucks from Redstone and sold them to people up north that lived close to...

    Clamp thing next to stack

Nothing like "Ma Deuce" to clear out a herd of hogs........you hit them with that .50 cal and you don't even have to field dress them.

Waiting on a M817 with winch by chance???

That is why they have LOW RANGE. If you know how to split shift you can use the low side to get rolling and then go into the high side to run highway speeds.

    Two engines

If my somewhat chemically altered memory serves me I think one of the old US APC's had twin engines...one on each side of the passenger compartment....I think they were Chevy's. Unlike the M113 they were made of steel and heavy.

    A/C Retrofit Kits

That is a nice setup but as much as I hate roasting in a deuce I don't think I would add another system to the engine......it would have to be a **** of a unit to cool an uninsulated deuce cab. Now if you could adapt it a heating/defrosting system I would be interested.

A Electric Deuce, in a DUMBS (Deep Underground Military Base)?

Lots of "Homeland Security" stuff going on now. "Ask me no questions and I'll tell you no lies."

    back window problems

This was a chronic problem with those vehicles.....just another reason I don't own one.

M818....I'm trying a new way to put a bed on it...

That 105 bed on an 818 is going to look like an ant trying to hump an elephant.:D

A Electric Deuce, in a DUMBS (Deep Underground Military Base)?

When I was a civy truck driver many years ago I made a delivery to a huge underground complex south of Saint Louis (I think). It was built in old underground limestone mines. You could drive tractor trailer rigs down into the place. There were all kinds of warehouses down there that had trailer...

Geared Lug Wrench - how NOT to use it & extra info

This is why I have a 1" air wrench.....I used those wretched inventions of the devil in the army and lost a lot of skin for my trouble.....they will bite the ell out of you if you get flesh in those gears when trying to put it on a nut. A big pull bar with a cheater pipe will give you just as...

How long are people spending on Crewcabs?

The rear seat would not be facing backwards, it would be against what used to be the dashboard of the rear cab. The center of both cabs would be cut out and they would be joined to make one large cab. If you used two sets of bucket seats you would have a four seater, if you used a small bench...
