I know. I told the agent (who was a totally cool dude; he escalated the case and was shot down by management) that that statement is a slap in the face to everyone who served.
Thanks for all of the replies.
I am only interested in lubricity for the hydraulic head/pump for a multifuel engine. I don't need anything else (cetane, antigel, etc.).
Will 30 wt bar and chain oil be ok (since this is what I have)? And if so, is a 50:1 ratio too thin?
Going on a 2000 mile trip with my M35A2 so I will be pumping a lot of road diesel at truck stops.
I had planned to use two-cylce oil as a lubricity additive. Went to get some and all sold out due to boating season.
I did get 8 gallons of bar and chain oil from Wally World. Listed as 30 weight...
I reread your post. Check that there is not sediment in the bottom of the carburetor bowl. After some driving, sediment that has settled can block a jet from being agitated.
The same thing applies to the fuel intake inside the tank. A piece of electrical tape or something might be getting...
If you are still having the issue, try reversing the primary connections on the coil. If backwards, the coil will not provide enough spark to fire under compression even though you see a spark in open air. Because the coil is an autotransformer - they are hooked up the same regardless of whether...
Yes, I was worried about I68 for a couple of reasons. Glad you chimed in.
Is it only I68 that is an issue? What about I79 in Morgantown and below?
What about picking up I 76 at Harrisburg and either taking I79 south in Pittsburgh or taking I70 west to Columbus?
Much truth there. Fuel will be road diesel with a lubricity additive as I am concerned about potentially plugging a filter with WMO, so there is that expense. I usually sleep behind the wheel for a couple of hours at a time at truck stops or rest areas., so no hotels, plus one person has already...
I will be driving my Deuce from NY (where it has been for temporary storage since I moved from Vermont) to the great state of Texas.
I plan to leave July 9th when all goes as planned. (Knock wood.) A friend of mine will be escorting me in another vehicle through Pennsylvania and perhaps a bit...
