Thanks for all of the replies. I am only interested in lubricity for the hydraulic head/pump for a multifuel engine. I don't need anything else (cetane, antigel, etc.). Will 30 wt bar and chain oil be ok (since this is what I have)? And if so, is a 50:1 ratio too thin?

Kindly elaborate. Wouldn't the additives help it cling to the pump's internals, aiding lubrication?

I reread your post. Check that there is not sediment in the bottom of the carburetor bowl. After some driving, sediment that has settled can block a jet from being agitated. The same thing applies to the fuel intake inside the tank. A piece of electrical tape or something might be getting...

If you are still having the issue, try reversing the primary connections on the coil. If backwards, the coil will not provide enough spark to fire under compression even though you see a spark in open air.
