check that fuse, and hope it is the problem!!! those pumps will set you back. WAY back! i just used my last good in tank pump on this new truck, but do have two of the aftermarket external pumps in my stash of goodies...
isn't hauling scrap fun? i hauled the enclosed bed (similar to M109) from my 5-ton to scrap. weighed 8,960 lbs! took some pics of how i loaded it using my duece winch. will try to post them some time.
am still tracking down the demon in my latest project duece. still have a dead hole, lots of fuel smoke under throttle, and oil leaking into the exhaust, but no blowby. have replaced all the injectors, lift pump, and now the turbo. have decided it may be time to pull the heads and replace...
can't imagine what you were doing to get sand in there... haha. would suggest going with the one piece axle boots when you go to change them. just did that along with the wheel bearings on mine. no leaks so far...
just replaced the fuel pump with one from my 5-ton. had to change the position of the actual pump and trim the suction line about an inch, but same symptoms. had an idea that the hydraulic head may be weak on #5, so i plumbed in an injector and left it out of the head. spray pattern looks...
just purchased and brought home duece # 8! it fired right up with fresh batteries after sitting for two years. seems to have a dead miss, turbo is leaking oil into exhaust, exhaust pipe is red from excessive heat, and pump looks to have been turned way up. found an extra injector in the tool...
RE: Re: Toe-in with singles and radials - thoughts?
i had a similar problem with my truck after going to singles... turns out the u-bolts on the front axle were loose allowing the axle to shift when changing lanes. drives great now.
RE: Blow-by
adjusted the valves today and replaced two injectors. think #6 is dead, as there is no change in running when i break the fuel line loose. doesn't have a flat cam lobe, rocker arms are rocking away... drove truck down the street, killed every local mosquito, and even broke 20mph...
finally got some motivation to get my most recently acquired duece to run correctly. originally had to replace injection pump and suspected a mistake in timing was causing the engine to run at full throttle. after coming dangerously close to scrapping the truck i found the throttle stop on the...
i recently obtained the bolt-on engine driven hyd. pump for a multifuel out of a 5-ton. i was considering using it for a rear winch setup as well. anyone know the specs of this pump? or will it work for this?
think i have several of those lead chains laying around. will consider parting with one. may also have the data plate you need. parting out two m35 trucks with winches.
front spring width 2.75"
outside to outside of front springs 33.75"
bottom of frame to top of rear axle 11.25"
axle tube dim. 3.5"x3.5"
hope this helps
try usa 6x6 for your single duece wheels. talk to a guy by the name of daniel little. he builds the two piece bolt together tubeless double beadlock wheels you are looking for on the duece. if you mention my name or websitee (kevin andrews or mucekokoffroad.com) he may speed up the process of...
to begin answering my own questions about the weight of this thing...i removed the cargo box off the back of this beast today, it tipped the scales at 8620 lbs! wow! i was way over weight hauling the whole truck. from what i can tell there are few useable parts on the truck. guage cluster is...
got my "new" 5 ton home today. this is the ugliest most decrepid thing i have ever seen. noticed a few things today. has the multifuel engine, tagged LDS 465 1A. has a BIG turbo on it that looks like it would bolt up directly in place of the whistler on my duece. does anyone know if there...
have alot of extra parts here i am geting rid of. think i have everything you need. am moving and don't want to take it all with me. anyone out there need anything, let me know...
just bought my first 5-ton last friday when i was supossed to be at work. haha... i know nothing about these other than they're BIG! the one i bought looks like my old m-109. that is, it has an enclosed box on the back. i'm wondering if anyone might know approx. how much this thing weighs...
