Will a Deuce fly on JET FUEL?

I think there's a warning on the dash of our deuce, right below the list of approved fuels that specificly singles out "aviation gasoline" as somthing you SHOULDN'T use, but, "jet fuel" may be another story

    Numbers on data plate

I was looking at the deuce's data plate today, and there seems to be two groupings of numbers on it. from left-to-right it reads 04D-27371 *space* 0525-19384 In the second grouping, the "0525" is painted on the plate, not part of the punched set of numbers Which one of these two is...

    Cruising RPM

Seems happiest at 2200 - 2300, though at 2000, and in 3rd, it'll roll up an 8% grade without a problem, doesn't feel boggy untill you go below 2 grand

    Air horns

On our deuce, it's located inside the passenger side fender, near the front, and on the inner fender well, if I can remember right, as to the nuts and bolts of how it works, I can't remember, it's been a couple months since I went under the hood

    Need a deuce' alternator?

Ken Kublo (570-663-2805) of Kublos Surplus in Brackney, Pennsylvania (near Scranton) apparently can set you up at a reasonable price (according to my dad), and I don't doubt it since he sold us a deuce for only $3,000 After a lot of testing and a couple regulator rebuild attempts, it appears...

    Show stuff for the deuce

I'm looking at some very nice 5.56MM ammo cans for $5 apiece on Ebay right now, and whatever other junk I can find, I just BARELY got the manuals, someone tried to snipe me at the last second, thank God for my initial high-reserve :) We're trying for a compromise, we want the truck to look...

    Insurance

Erie insurance covered us wihtout a fuss, but, I don't think they know what it really is, we had it registered as an "antique" and since it was kaiser-buit, we told them it's an "Army Jeep" so I think they think it's an m151, but shhhhhhh... don't tell

    Show stuff for the deuce

There seems to be 3 or 4 mermite cans a week that show up on Ebay, they tend to go for about $50 a piece. There are also TONS of ammo boxes, all calibers, some going for as little as $5 THe stuff in the first aid kit may still be usable too, smells strongly of iodine in there, probaby...

    Weapons & mounts?

one thing I've been really amazed at was the cost of replica machineguns for the deuce, there are movie prop companies that make ones out of stamped metal, but they cost almost 1000 bucks a piece or more if you want one that can fire blanks, (and that's for your basic replica m2hb) static ones...

A scale model of my M36A2

I've been looking for a model of an M35 for a long time, usualy, my local hobby shop would have somthing like that, Bernie has M151's, and German/Russian trucks as well, plus all kinds of ships, aricraft, jets, etc., but no deuces! [complaining] I may have to go to ebay and find someone with...

    Basic Issue Tools

Is there a seriel or NSN number for that kit? I've been looking around for one for our deuce, just "For show" we'd never really use it as much as we'd use the stuff we already have at the shop, but I've come up empty in my search. If anyone knows where you might find one, please, let me know!

We aren't going to any other shows, haven't planned the time for it. But, if we do well with our renovations, there's always next year for other shows, this local event is kinda our big to do for now.
