    Progress on the restoration

Yeah, for every 10 minutes of spraying, you need to perform 45 minutes to an hour of sanding prep...... but it IS worth it, nice work!

What tools to bring to DRMO to check fluids before removal?

Take enough to completely top off, when we went to DRMO to look at a friends deuce, we brought a couple quarts of everything just to top off, but didn't expect to find the truck completely drained of all fluids, make sure you have enough to top off in the event yours is bone-dry when you get to...

M35A2 fluid capacity and head gaskets..... need info please!

Okay, here's what I need to know, what are the fill capacities for the driveline components in an M35A2? Specificaly, I need to know how much fluid goes into the tranny, T-case and differentials, and what kind of off-the-shelf lube you could get at a place like Napa for example would be...

    Checked out Walter's new M35A2

And the good news first, she runs! And we'll probably be able to limp her home on her own. We'll have to jury-rig a few things in addition to what we did yesterday on initial inspection. All the fluids had been drained out, and in thier haste to do so, whoever did it decided to not take...

    something works!

And if not that, it's probably just burnt out bulbs, I'd say about 70% of our blulbs, interior/exterior were burned out when we got ours

    Need Engine part

Ken Kublo (570-663-2805) in Brackney, PA might be able to help you if no one else has the part

    Insurance for the Deuce

Depends on the year of the truck, Pre 1970 or thereabouts the maker will be Kaiser-Jeep, post that, AM General. Check your data plates on your dash, your truck's VIN should be listed on that, if they're gone or badly damaged, it's also stamped on a frame rail somewhere, I don't know exactly...

changes in M35 cabs over the years?

Can't belive I didn't think of that, when we were looking at GL deuces, there are TONS that are missing major components (axles/engines) that nobody would want, and I never thought the cab would be somthing worth salvaging. You could probably get one pretty cheap barefoot that still has all...

Hey guys, long time, no posts!

It's a "replica" replacement from a company I can't remember at the moment, but I can go look it up for you, it was intended for use on somthing else, some other kind of truck I think, because the sides had to be hemmed up by 4-5 inches and new eyelets for the ropes installed for it to fit a 2.5...

3 days left until the MV show

We're comming down to the wire, and the weather has turned a bit rainy on us, but I think we can still finish up the one or two things we need to do to be show-ready w/ our M35A2 and M105A2 Wanna see some pics of the progress? Of course you do! go here...

Did you drive or ship your MV when purchased? Please read...

We had our deuce delivered to us, mostly out of ignorance of how to properly drive one or it's mechanical condition. Having done so, we would probably not mind driving it home ourselves if we had to do it again. While just out driving around, we've never had a problem with scrutiny from...

Made a little progress on that M105

Paint was the GCI 383 CARC substitute, $20 for a gallon, + $20 hazmat fee per order, it'll take probably 3.5 (round up to 4) gallons to do trailer and deuce together, those big cargo beds and stakes just EAT up the paint

383 Paint texture question and more questions!

We painted our 105 trailer w/ 383 from GCI and if it's not a 100% match to the critical eye, it's darn close, and looks great. When aplied with a regular spray gun, it shouldn't have any texture at all.

Made a little progress on that M105

Tell me about it, during one marathon cleaning session on the 4th of July, I had the grinder in my right hand, the air line from the air compressor in my left and was switching between the two, one to grind, and the other to blast cold air into the grinder's motor to cool it down enough to keep...

The Deuce vs. HOA's: How do you guys deal with it?

Funny part about scaring those "civillian" homeowners is that they may be suspicious that you even HAVE a Cousin Gutpile in your family, but they've seen you do other crazy things so offten, they don't dare call your bluff. The reason my Dad moved my family to where I grew up was because he...

    Truck Nuts ?

My "home" website has a page devoted to pictures vehicular oddities, as such I"ve seen them before, I think they've been out on the market for 2 or 3 years at thsi point. I'd never get them, but to each his own
