    Looking at 923's

Had to be a custom job, the government never configured the M939 series with a NTC-400. I wouldn't trust GL descriptions.

    Looking at 923's

I think that's highly subjective. I can equip my M925 with super singles for less than a M925A1 goes for. Not to mention I got 10 brand new tires on the truck already so I can spread the super-single cost out a few years. But if you are simply comparing A1's to A2's...A1's are the better deal.

    Looking at 923's

There are no 5 tons with the 400. The 400 comes in the 14 ton tractor and up...M915, 916 and 920, and there equivalent drop numbers. However between my M915 and M925, I get the same mileage and cruising speed. M915 has a bit more get up, but eh M925 has 6 wheel drive.

My first army truck and it BIG

That sucks! Any pictures? How much did that set you back? Doubt you can find another one but there is always my plan of putting a 109 box on a 818. Not a new idea but a nice idea. How did the wife take it?

Nice Brian the are definitively fun. Someday I'll do the filming thing...LOL

It's like a big pick-up but you are eye to eye with the big rigs. Way better than a duece ad about equal to the M915. Seat could be better, and if the heater don't work it sucks in winter. Aside from that it's easy going. Loud you can't talk on a cell phone and hear anything the other person...

    Looking at 923's

I don't see in your question where you asked about license and registration. However since it was mentioned I'd suggest taking a look at your states registration and licensing requirements. You didn't mention where you were looking, GL, truck dealer, or private party. Your best bet would...

    jump start 925A2

The problem I have with jump packs is the cheaper ones are cheap and the good ones are expensive. It is a good idea but I was going for the low cost approach. Knowing Karl has an M35 he won't be driving while away and that he has a set of jumper cables was my leaning towards that idea...

    ND to MS and back...

I think that's a post for another thread. Lets hope we don't repeat last year. However Canada is holding all it's water back at present the river through Minot is essentially empty, I've never seen it this low. The Canadian dams are nearing the level they were when we flooded last year. 4...

    jump start 925A2

Karl, it is possible to jump the M925 from two batteries. And yes the batteries from your Chevy will work. However a better solution is slide the battery box out of your M35 into the bed of the pick-up and bring it with. Then you just need one set of jumpers assuming you keep the pair tied...

    ND to MS and back...

I grew up in LA and have had a gun pulled on me in traffic. So not a lot scares me. What scares me is what I would do should some moron harm my family through ineptitude or bad decision. I don't think Generators go cheap anywhere but I try and watch... If I had a deeper wallet, I would be...

    ND to MS and back...

I'm not paying for the trip! LOL Brandy and I would like to attend a Eastern Rally this year. If that's the GA rally or another we havn't decided. Attend means visit, as I don't think anything I have will like that far of a drive, and I don't get a lot of vacation time. One of you...

    Parking Brake - Air

Forgive me I'm still learning the M939 series and was confusing primary and secondary brake systems. However I'm fairly certain the primary system only has a service chamber. Feel free to correct me as this is how I read the TM and whats under my truck

    Parking Brake - Air

Also keep in mind they are seperate on the 939 series, it doesn't use dual chambered units.

Deal. I'll have to save my pennies for when I swing by your place. Troy is already drooling for hitchin the ride down with Karl. Well I'm guessing...but you get the point

    ND to MS and back...

I'm scheduled to be in Biloxi, MS on the 17th Apr 2012 and due to return to Minot, ND on 24th May 2012. Leaving Minot on the 13th of Apr and will return to Minot on the 28th May, I'm allowed 4 travel days. Current plans have me taking the F350, but plans change. I will have limited space...

    M939/A1/A2 ABS vs. Non-ABS Trucks

I havn't got the ABS to activate yet, when I first heard about ABS on air brake systems (CDL test book) it made me very nervous. I don't even like ABS on standard trucks. But I agree I think its more the 18 year old troops that in all liklyhood hadn't driven before their enlistment, and issues...
