One thing I've learned is that the HH slowly wears especially if fuel has been less than very clean i.e. WVO, etc. This causes the
plunger tolerances to become too open, thus at the lower RPM of starting and idling the engine, sufficient pressure is not produced
to open the injectors.
Must...
Jeepsinker,
As I understand you all had to replace the HH button to get Zev's truck to run.
Will these trucks run at all without the button? There's a near new HH on my IP.
I can get mine to run after shooting the flame heater to her and she will
run good but can not get her to start, hot or...
After a process of elimination it looks like my HH is not getting up to pressure at slow RPM's to open injectors such as when
starting up engine. I do have a way to start the engine but if RPM goes much below 1,000 she shuts down.
If I had to guess the fuel is getting past the plunger until...
Could use a 24 volt solenoid valve after the fuel filters wired parallel with intank fuel pump. All you
have to do is what comes naturally, and that is flip the in cab stop switch off. All fuel sources are stopped.
Luckily, here in Florida I run a one-time fee Antique Tag on my 1969 M36A2C. I believe the fee was weight based yet reasonable for just one time.
As I understand this tag is covered by reciprocity agreement for the whole country.
There's nothing wrong with making a improved version. Many of us are not nutty on originality but
find functionality and quality more important for the trucks we actually use for something.
Love to have a top made out of fiberglass, with no rear window, side and windshield eaves built in.
Sure would be nice if we could contact the manufacture to see if
other degrees of travel were available. Speed changing would be nice, too.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
JD,
I'm very interested in changing over to the DT-360 but was wondering if there are any PITA issues that
would be helpful to know before installing into a duece such as bell housing and motor mounts.
Thanks
Sorry to say, my Warn hubs stink. The threaded part inside that turns to engage lock hub seems to be
made of a pot metal casting thus easily gulling and making it almost impossible to turn by hand.
I'm in the process of making replacements out of steel like they should have been in the first...

Sorry, I forgot to ask if he is a manufacturer or just an
individual who happened to have a fiberglass top you
bought?
I'm trying to find someone who can custom make me one.
Thanks for patience,
Orren
Stainless hinge pins
I don't understand all the contortions you guys are going through?
Just go to stainless pins/bolts like I made for the tailgate hinges. That's
the end of problems and stronger, too.
I've not had to change out my door hinge pins yet but I would probably
cut down a stock...
The stock length with only one axle is a very good idea for most civi uses. Should help
mileage and drivability, especially in urban areas and you still have 4 x 4 and good load
weight capacity.
I like it.
