    Camp Deuter

Specs call for DOT 5 not 3 brake fluid as mentioned used in a previous post. Don't know if this is a cause of your brake problems but mine work great have used only DOT 5.

    The Novice Deuce

Hi neighbor, Thought I would give you a shout. I have a M36A2C w/w that I plan on making into an off road camper, too. Let's get together and trade ideas and I'll show you what I've done so far. Call me at 386-658-3539. Orren Winjum Dowling Park, FL

    M35A3C Run problems

What engine is used in the M35A3 that does not need the intank fuel pump?

    Wheel bearing inspection

If you don't have seal leakage just check the hubs for being too hot to touch. Also, like when changing a tire or when ever, check for wheel wobble and if a little loose tighten wheel nut a little. If you hear rumbling or it gets too hot then you need to do the job right. You well know...

Fuel Leak Injecter Pump Area - M35A2

Yes, this is a great place to start looking. I would pull the intank pump and clean filter screen and as much of its insides as you can without totally tearing down the whole thing. I've let mine soak in a strong soap overnight, too. Also, check for crap in tank. May be worth while to clean...

Fuel Leak Injecter Pump Area - M35A2

Your problem is the HH is not producing enough pressure at the low starting RPM's to open injectors. Your may try to use the flame heater when starting; clean and test before trying to use. If the HH has enough pressure at a little higher RPM's it should start and run but not idle much...

    Cab Heater Modification

All the above ideas seem worthy of consideration but to me bring in cold air from outside demands a lot out of the stock heater. I plan on piping this air inlet to the inside of the engine's radiator thus capturing some of the waste heat. Please let me have any comments on this idea.

    Fording Project

I believe the fording instructions say to put bell housing plug in place before fording. I keep mine in all the time and check for oil accumulation from time to time. You never know when you may run into a flooded street, etc.

    Chatroom removeal

I do not use the chatrooms option and wish to remove the bar at the bottom of the pages and the user popups. Also, I think this feature is slowing down the website's usability too much. Is there a way to turn this feature off. Thanks for your help. Orren Winjum

What do you have your air pressure set at?

I have an air assist steering system and the higher pressure makes thing better.

    Deuce just stopped.

My vendor, REOMIE, is sending me a new HH, no questions asked. I hope these China made units are any good. Anybody have experience with them?

    Deuce just stopped.

James, After removing HH from IP I found the plunger was stuck in the up stroke. No idea how that happened except for some defect. Fuel filters only have about 300 miles on them; using NAPA 3540's (6 micron)for secondary and final. Thanks for all comments.

    Deuce just stopped.

Just installed a brand new HH (China made) and started up real easy and everything ran great. Drove about ten miles and she just quit in the middle of the road dead. Was able to pull over ok and check fuel to HH and pressure was OK from in-tank fuel pump. Can't for the life of me figure what...

Anyone interested in heavier duty hydraulic head button retaining clips?

If the plunger's end where the clip is placed was back-cut a little then if the clip came a little loose it wouldn't easily come off.

    6TL batteries not fully charging

Also, I strongly suggest using a battery shut off switch. Seems these trucks leak voltage just standing around. I've had that problem and still after several attempts can't find anything.

Why do the Hydraulic Head clips fall off.

James, Now that you have the plunger out I would try and back-cut the slots for the retainer clip prongs so these prongs can be bent-in past the vertical to keep retainer tight even if sticky. I just received a new Chinese head and the retainer fell off in my hand when opening packaging...

    2.5 Locking hubs group buy

Wondering if we can get detailed spec. with pictures. I now have Warn Locking Hubs and have internal metal galling problems that make it very hard to turn on and off. The threaded part is a casting that seems to be made of pot metal or at best cast aluminum. Thank for your help.

Do I Really Need GL-1 in my trans ?

I use Lucas as they suggest. Really quiets things down. Use Lucas in everything else, too.
