Didn't do too much to the truck today. Took it for a drive because it was actually quite nice out.. Always a good time :driver:
After that, I pulled apart my air cleaner housing to pop out the filter. Didn't look too bad. Says 2010 on the bottom of the filter, which matches the last tag riveted...
Another option would be replacing the passengers seats with air ride seats, but that would be quite expensive. Or maybe springers, though that wouldn't be cheap either.
In regards to tires.. Have you considered going back to duals, and using the 9x20 NDT tires? Those tires are CHEAP, probably because most people don't want them. A quick eBay search yielded a number of results.. One guy was selling 11 tires with wheels included for $115! Another guy was selling...
Now THAT is cool! Yet another M939 series model that I didn't know about (just saw the mobile workshop version recently.) 14.00x20 DUALLIES?? Awesome 8-)

Also ordered the air filter to go with my new filter cage.. Wix 46664 was the correct filter number. Got one for $40.. Not too bad. Between that and...
I still can't believe that people scrap these things.. I understand that they can't all be good trucks that run and drive fine, but they still should be parted out and sold as such. I mean.. Steel scrap is like $20 per ton, right? So a complete truck will give 10 tons or so. $200? Probably...
Yeah my 931A2 can be a little bumpy on the road. I've gotten used to it now that I have driven it around a number of times. Luckily they have redone most of the major roads around here lately, so there aren't really any rough patches. As others have said, it's mostly due to lack of rear weight...
I would love to go the FFH route.. The heater is pretty terrible in these things. And if this is going to be my daily driver, I need heat almost right away in Winter. If you happen to remember who had those kits please PM me. I will go check the Classifieds now to see if I can find them.
