FYI there is a complete drivers side door on eBay right now.. I think the guy wants $200 + shipping. Heck of a deal in my opinion (I paid something like $400 w/shipping for a complete passenger door about 3 months ago.) I thought about snatching it up as a spare, but it sounds like you need it...
lol... There are always going to be people that think you're crazy for having a 5 ton.. Those people are known as "weirdos," and it is best to ignore them :)
I'll say one final thing while we are on the subject.. I think you should buy a deuce for now, then pick up a 5 ton when you reach 19. Problem solved ;)
You live and you learn. Next time you'll know to be more careful, and also to hold them to the pictures that they took of the vehicle. That's why I always prefer to buy vehicles in person.
I'm the same way. I disclose every little issue that I can think of. When it comes to selling vehicles, I treat people the way that I would want to be treated.. No lies or BS.
Geez.. Seems like kind of a high price. Mine was in great shape with new paint and tires, just a few minor issues, and I only paid $7900 for it (seller was asking $8500.) I've had to change all of the fluids, etc., but that helped me learn more about the truck.
So if I bolt one of the single-wire versions to my hardtop, will that be enough of a ground to make it work when power is applied? I know there are rubber seals between the various sections, but will the bolts and nuts complete a ground circuit for this light?
Yeah it is perhaps a bit bizarre, but not really. In my case, it is actually less expensive for me to drive this 5 ton than it was to drive my previous daily driver (a 7 or 8mpg 66 Ford Fairlane that required premium gas.) Diesel is cheaper than 93 octane gas, and I seem to be getting 8-10mpg...
Oh c'mon.. Don't be a girly man. A real manly man would bend those frame rails with his bare hands.... lol rofl
Sounds like you have almost everything figured out. That's good. Sounds like a plan [thumbzup]
