Symbol on door- what is it?

Cool, thanks for the replies, I read about the weight class ID for the changeable bridge plate (the "C" is displayed with a trailer as in "Combination vehicle"), the symbol I didn't see before. It's not an eight, so I am unfamiliar with this type of marking. Reference: TM 9-2320-209-10-1, page...

Symbol on door- what is it?

Hi All: Wonder if anyone here can identify the yellow circle/colon symbol on the passenger door of my 1968 M35A2? It appeared after I used paint stripper to remove the top layer of MERDEC(?) paint. Thanks!

    Windshield Frame Seal

I don't THINK they're repros; I think it's just an issue of low-quality, quickly-assembled parts. BTW, are the top bow supposed to be all the same height or do the outer two of the five sit lower? A couple of my bows are not the same height as the others.

    Windshield Frame Seal

JCKnife: Yes, the over-sized hex-head screws which hold the inner windshield frame hinge to the outer windshield frame which have captive internal/external lock washers. bigmike: OK, thanks. I took a screw out of the "L" brackets which hold the single top piece to the three-sided bottom piece...

    Windshield Frame Seal

Lots of good info here, THANKS to all for helping make this less difficult. Can anyone explain the deal with the hardware for the inner windshield frames? I want to replace some of the screws but what look like OEM screws don't thread onto 8-32 or 10-32 nuts, nor do they thread onto metric. Are...

A question about M35A2 running lights

I did a jumper 21 to 491 like Rattlecan6104 said but I used a spade connector pair so I could just reach under the dash and open the circuit if I wanted. Some would say leave the lighting system as-is, but I'm not driving for Uncle Sugar with his infinite deep pockets and cadre of...

    Military modifications to M35's

I didn't serve, but the truck I have has a heavy bracket mounted to the front bumper on the passenger side and a bench vise mounted to that. Also, it has a small davit crane like an engine hoist mounted to a swivel base, mounted to the back of the bed on the passenger side near the tailgate.

    Mounting 11x20's

Yep, that's an older style with a solid ring. That one was used on WWII deuces and Ben Hur trailers, as well as civilian trucks. They are a lot harder to deal with, which is why the split ring Budd rims became more popular. Also, the flanges on the ring and the rim are narrower than the split...

Deuce Insurance Prices - How much do you pay?

State Farm local agent wasn't interested in signing me unless I switched ALL my vehicles and house- wouldn't even quote me. Previous M35A2 owner's State Farm agent never quoted me. Auto Club (AAA) never quoted me. I got Gulfway for about $250 per year, not required to be garaged. Licensed...
