I had posted earlier that my wipers on a 1994 LMTV had also changed parking position. First they stopped at 90 degrees straight up, then started parking at about 45 degrees.
Snowtrac Nome, you have to be correct, there must be an indexing cam/switch on the motor that moved. Do you have...
As already stated, the thrust tube has to be moved away from the transmission to expost the flanges and u-joint. The two ways to do that are disconnect the entire axle by loosening the bolts in the ends of the coil springs, or, use a come-along or winch to force the torque tube and axle...
I reuse them if there is no damage. I have changed maybe 10 wheels/tires and found the o-rings fine for reuse except for 2 that had not stayed in the groove and got smashed. That damage is obvious (but they still held air). BTW I use regular grease on the o-rings and they 'squirm' right into...
That statement concerns me. Did you actually say what you meant to say?
Edit. Looking back at my post I interpreted dmetalmiki's statement to mean that disconnecting grounds was not needed because they were tolerant to being welded on. I interpreted wrong. Sorry 'bout that.
You seem to have the problem cause figured out (refer back to post 4 this thread). The OPV/PPV is not working consistently. It should not have air leaking around the adjustment screw. Yes, you probably have a bad diaphragm.
I suggest replacing it. This Over Pressure Valve is available...
If gauges on dash read 120 range as you said then compressor is probably good. A stuck Protection Valve would cut off air to CTIS and other secondary functions like cab lift.
Dash gauges read the two brake tanks, the two toward front of truck. The 'wet tank' is the smaller rear tank. It...
Did you check the two big connectors at the rear of the dash shifter panel? Have to pull the whole dash to get to those plugs. Partial disconnect causes lots of error codes, being very misleading (like multiple solenoid failures). I found that out the hard way alongside a highway when the...
Have you considered road speed? With no overdrive transmission and axle ratios around 7.5, engine rpm needs to be high. The M180 engines are happy at 5000-6000 rpm all day, with peak hp even higher.
But you will have a great trail machine!
"Trued" a lumpy tire. A newish tire added recently was out of round enough that it noticeably bounced at slower speed.
The tire was jacked up (on the truck) and rotated to place the high spot on the bottom. The air was drained and all 20 wheel bolts loosened to give a little slack in the...
Belmetric has assortments of copper washers that are handy to have available. No need to worry with work-hardened seals.

Yes, an idea: Check relay 52 on the PDP power distribution panel. It should be a 12 volt 5 pin relay. If a 4 pin relay is present then the CTIS will work but the lights won't light.

Beg to differ, or I am totally misunderstanding your comment. The non-pressurized hub void space on the front axle (where the gear reduction is) has a hose that loops across the pressurized section to the unpressurized axle. Thats how that hub non-pressurized void space is vented. Then the...
Assuming you have the MS116, MS117, MS 118 series sections that are normally with the AB15, something is definitely wrong with your threads. These should screw together by hand, and never more torque than that. These sections do sometimes stick together after a long time but that is the...
