Like the old saying( buyer beware) is always a tried and true practice. Look very close at body and up under the cab for repairs and rusting out areas that have been painted over . Your are in good shape to argue the price with no body and one going any where from 200 to 800 Dollars if you can...
I really like to see these trailers still kicking butt. I had a 101a1 and man that thing would hold a load like nothing else would . I still want to kick myself every time I think of the day I sold it for twice what I paid for it ..........Good job
Welcome and good luck on your truck. A3s are really cool looking but . not going to get one because of all the problems that come with them. I barely have time to work on getting the little things done to my 923A1. From what I have read on here the A3s are a handful just to keep on the road...
Good luck to you . After looking at the pictures it really is in decent shape, not to say you don't have your work cut out for you but it should be a really cool build ............
TripleC for give my questions I am not trying to steal this thread but ,PowerPro are you saying you spray WD forty on the tires to prevent dry rot ? I haven't heard of this and it sounds interesting. My neighbor thought I was nuts because he saw me soaking the tires with a tire treatment made...
You WILL damage the engine this way. The instructions on the dash CLEARLY state to release the ether while the engine is turning over. Doing it your way will overload a single cylinder that has an open intake valve! ( quote)
The sticker stated it would take 3 seconds to disperse so unless you...
I don't think it would be a problem to to use the A1's or A2's for what you want to do. My A1 bed is 5 ft high and even at a loading dock I still meed to have a ramp to load with. Now what I'm about to say may upset a few people but I mean no offense just stating fact . If you are planning to...
I have the 923A1 there are no glow plugs just a ether canister . The new generation of either has a lubricant added to it so it doesn't harm the engine. You can find it at almost any truck center. I have Started the engine on some cold mornings and not used the ether but one time . I just let it...
If you mean can you tell the difference by just looking at them like in comparisons between a ford and a Chevy no. You as a supplier were given specs and a strict guild line to follow. My mother was employed with a clothing MFG for the military and they had an inspector that made the rounds of...
LOL I agree about the knife but, it's what they don't see that will do the most damage . I was amazed at the amount of light the 24 volt did put out. I have a problem with guys who have head lights that 1 are so bright that I can not see the road due to their friggin head lights . Then to top it...
I wish you luck but in the end I don't think you have a prayer. When the US Government puts a stamp on it it stays . The A3s were a pilot program to extend the use and life of the Deuces one more time and it failed. But like most doomed programs they took the technology developed in the A3 and...
I didn't really have a noticeable problem but when I shut off my 923 and came back to it after a couple of hours it still had to build up pressure again . I listened and couldn't hear a thing so I started looking and found the rear glad hand was connected to the cover but the valve was half...
