m5a1stewart thanks for asking that question and please forgive my asking a similar question. The hose under the pump on mine appears to be just a regular hose held on by band clamps. It seems to be leaking and even after tightening it a couple of times it still leaks is the hose on yours like...
I like Steve,s Idea it looks cool and folds up out of the way. At 56 and disabled it isn't a baby step for me either. I wondered why my shoulder hurt me after first getting my 923A1. It didn't take long to realize why when like you I went to pull my self back up in it 10 or 12 times one day...
CUCVFAN Thank you for your post I hadn't forgot . I was just short on time and a little curious just to see if it started up with out ether in yesterdays cold. We were hopping to have a little snow (we didn't get it) and wanted to see if it would be ready to roll. Thanks again for the advice...
Triple C Thanks for your kind words and your advice, if it's not to much trouble could you find me the napa part number for your ether canister. I did ask about one from Napa they didn't even know what it was. Even did a search on line for it but must not be looking for it using the right...
Thanks Triple C I have not ordered it yet to day is the first day I have not been able to get mine not to start. :( It hasn't been above the thirties today. I stopped by and just tried to start it for a minute and have no ether left wouldn't you know . So I started to try and find the ether...
Triple C I had the same price given to me so I searched the napa on line store and it came up 69.99. It pays to shop around and thanks to members we can always find the best prices. This is why I like this site so much it's full of people just like us trying to find a better way ........
With those temps I would ask your local Guard unit or someone in the military what they use in theirs. I know block and oil pan heaters help but in those temps once you unplug you had better not shut down until your back home. I know in colder temps 5-w products or recommended for cars and truck...
I would take a cardboard template of the bolt pattern and go to a junk yard. If the bolt holes line up and the height is good buy it . I may be doing the same thing to my 923. My butt isn't as bouncy as it used to be :)
I would bring a extra bottle of ether in case the one on there is empty . Most truck stops have the bottles just get the one with a lubricant in it it is much better for the engine ........
I know that you came to this site to learn and learn you have. I have had the pleasure of swapping ideas with these guys for a few years and have to say it is always a learning experience. Sometimes not a good one but still a lesson learned. :) I just thought I would throw this in to the pot ...
You did a very good job on the rebuild !!!! I have seen some go hog wild and end up with a old truck that cost more than a new one would and still won't work right. You have done to this truck what Frank Loyd Wright did to homes ...Form and function with an eye pleasing result. You should be...
I like the color and like you said it WILL stay cleaner. Have a standard 383 color on a 923A1 and plan on keeping it that way on the outside but was entertaining the Idea of lighting up the inside with a lighter color like yours. We all know how dirt is like a magnet to dark colors which is...
