Let me state the fact that I am not an expert by any means ....but if the paint isn't pealing or flacking off I just sand prime and paint over it .....It works for me ......It's not for the show car effect but it works for the old green guys

I don't think anyone enjoys being the cause of a problem...But This isn't your problem You are in the limmits of HOA .I f you wish you could store it or find someone to let you keep it in their yard . Or like me ..just learn to live with the fact that you can't please every body so stop trying...

Now under stand its just my own opinion but It should be easy to trouble shoot the alternator's output with the meter being placed on the wiring harness on alternator out put ...... If your handy with tools and like to tinker with engines then it sounds like you could use the minor problems to...
