Okay, McGurk, now I'm curious. Did you put 1 oz. per quart in the system as per the instructions? That'd be 0.65 gallons, or about $30 worth.
I've read that sometimes the seals on a SEE self heals with some use, and after reading the reviews of Blue Devil I'm more skeptical than usual.
You do know that the light switch levers have to be in all the right positions for those indicator lights to come on, right?
But if they really don't work and you want something irritating to look at, you can always shine a small flashlight into your eyes.
Gotta look into that devilish liquid...
What a coincidence. Last weekend I had to enlarge some holes on a dozer blade. It was an uphill battle - until I remembered the Drill Doctor.
Hadn't used it for maybe 10 years, and now the subject came up twice within a week.
It does make a noticeable dent in the wallet when buying five buckets of AW 32, even the cheap NAPA stuff.
Is the change noticeable in the loader? Not to me, but then I don't use it enough to be a connoisseur. On the other hand, even I could notice a change for the better in the backhoe.
I've...
I was afraid that might be the case.
By the way, did you also get to enjoy having the bolt turn when trying to move only the locking nut? That was the highlight, I think.
Ended up putting long-nose Vice Grips on the bolt's threads, on the left side, to enable turning the locking nut. That was...
Good job, alpine!
It's great to see that you missed out on rat repairs, and that it all seems to work.
And isn't that power steering belt adjustment fun? Now you know why I changed all three, even though only the alternator belt was questionable. The other day, before putting the skid plate...
Okay, paint is not on the list for today. The second application of silicone must dry first.
Why did this fiberglass hood need "scoops"? Because it hit the reservoir and some hard parts of the brake system. It didn't need much extra clearance, a piece of flat sheet metal and a PVC pipe end cap...
I would try using a small, sharp center punch, and possibly tap the broken bolt out that way, before resorting to drilling.
At the very least, I'd use a guide on the drill bit to keep it in the bolt, instead of ruining the threads. It can be tricky to keep the drill bit in the fastener even with...
While the braided hoses do help pedal feel, I have had them rip apart. And get kinked. On the other hand, despite getting small logs wedged in rubber brake hoses, I haven't had one break yet.
In other words, I like the braided hoses, but think we should give the old tried and true rubber hoses...
If it doesn't rain (so I can paint) tomorrow, I'll post a pic...if you promise not to laugh too hard.
By the way, now that both the steel and 'glass hood has been on and off a few times, I'm not convinced that the steel hood clears the clutch slave reservoir, either. Not without all four little...
It'll be a different 3-color pattern soon. I've started on that very poorly made and ill fitting fiberglass hood I bought a while back. First I need to decide on what to use for "mini scoops", to make room for the two things that won't fit under the hood. Yes, I had to cut two holes in the hood...
