For those of us that had Gulfway policies underwritten by Travelers, I was informed today that Gulfway is changing to Haggerty. I had let mine lapse and went to renew and since it was more than 90 days, travelers said I had to work through Gulfway. I called them and they told me they have...
What others have said. If they are stacked up, expect them all to be bad. On the former gov liquidation, They would bait n switch and use the same "stock" picture with a nice tire on the top and scrap tires on the rest of the stack. Can not say about gov planet but many of us have been burned...
If you are getting a vibration/squealing while moving, other items to look at is driveshaft u joints, hanger bearing, temps at each wheel hub/box including fluid level, differentials etc.
Can you isolate the speed when heard? Do you feel vibration?
Squeaks can be from ball joints when metal to metal contact especially for the ones that are sealed and no zerk fittings. I would start there and obviously more pronounced when you hit bumps and uneven pavement. If they are squeaking , they are also out of tolerance and probably close to worn...
the xm1073 have 17.5 rims with the same bolt pattern. One Piece like the m1061. The OE tires are non existent and impossible to find 11R17.5 goodyear no longer made.
My experience with 17.5 is that very few tire shops like them except heavy duty/commercial service.
My experience with the big red brand previously sold at northern tool was less than satisfactory.
Jack failed and NT would not warranty and the manufacturer's office in California for the China com told me to pound sand.....
I believe the wheel cylinders are available at croft. I did not think they were special but ordinary civy item. Can't say 100% as non of my trailers have leaked from cyls.
Yup, my brackets had no tags or stickers on them and as they say " I chose unwisely"
I have some pictures on my thread Juan's m998 of my install. I see you have the control arm bolts in already. Mine were not a s bad as others have reported. My only other suggestion when you get to the...
There is an adapter that screws into the end of the speeodmeter cable after it is disconnected and it has a zerk fitting. A few pumps of a grease gun and it will bring back a jerky cable if it is not cut or frayed. I think dorman or Help made it which I think are now the same company.
I wear mine all the time. Period, no discussion on my part.
Having been T boned in a civilian vehicle that flipped on its side; I , my wife and my son in a car seat were fine. Friend in back not belted in suffered injuries. Not worth it not to do it.
Narton makes one specifically that fits the hmmwv with no alterations to the tabs. The back is different shape and depth. The front looks just like the other model.
Nartron 19207-12484558 ,mfr 32498 not the original manufacture Esterline advanced input system
Pics on my build Thread. Works...
The reinforcement plate was a s separate mwo for all trucks with airlift bumpers and would not be in the original tm's. Might be in the -387 but not sure offhand.
Thanks for the tip! I needed one and epay had a bucket load of them quite reasonable at 2 for $25.
Easy way to tell A1 is no wheel cylinder or hydraulics. A2/3 have wheel cylinders.
