That is odd, considering people's apparent sue happiness. Must be that I'm not the only one who find it easier to simply steer around them thar potholes. And if I screwed up and hit one badly enough to damage my vehicle, I'd probably find it quicker and easier to fix it than to mess with the...

    Chevy 4x4 Dump (K30) Recovered

I have tried, and failed, to sleep on a Greyhound. But I have fallen asleep while riding a motorcycle.

Leaking Transfer Case - Best Kits for Repair

Thanks for the info guys. I didn't know that GM switched to ATF as early as '88, and had never heard of the "Shift on the fly" 205 until Rustystud mentioned it a while back. My ATF experience was after getting my first ever new car into the garage to look things over. First thing I do with any...

Check the dipstick and find out what's in the transmission, then the level plug on the transfer case to see what's in there?

Leaking Transfer Case - Best Kits for Repair

Off the subject, but imagine my surprise when checking the fluid level in an NP205 and found it filled with ATF. It was in a '91 crew cab dually, and while I don't know when GM decided to switch to ATF - surely for mileage purposes - I filled it with normal gear oil. And it lived happily ever...

Rear brake lock up question? M1009

    So I was wrong. Again.

Rear brake lock up question? M1009

Are the pads and brake shoes of the some type/aggressiveness? Obviously a "softer acting" pad can change the brake bias towards the rear. Also, if the rear started acting up after adjusting the shoes, why not back them off a bit and see what happens? Not that I think it'd change anything, but at...

Could the pressure be checked at another point in the system, such as at the tool hoses, or is it best to tap in where you did in photo number 4?

In all fairness, they do take several photos...and check the seat belt function. As many mirrors as they break, on SEEs alone, we can't really ask them to be lucky with how they position the forks, can we?

Yeah, I must admit that destroying stuff can be great fun. But even that must get old after a while, I'd think.

Nah, if people think it's pomegranate juice, I'm fine with that.

Yesterday's activity (which saved me money as it kept me from spending time watching the auction) was to buy totes. The two larger ones (330 gallons) will be used for FLU feed. In the long run they may even save not only my back, but also money. Here it's cheaper to have the diesel delivered...

Well, it did wake me up. And a whole bunch of other people camped nearby. Luckily the people were fine - the bedroom door (in the rear) blew open and on top of them, shielding them from much of the blast. But do notice that the tequila bottle was unharmed.

Are you saying that something like this could happen?

FLU419 SEE HMMH HME Owners group

I'm pretty sure that was in the manual. I'll have to look again. I can do without assisted brakes, or brakes in general, for the very most part. The 4WD engagement I'd like to change over to a lever. And now you made me think about giving the diff locks their own air system. A small electric...

My first SEE is showing the most miles, a bit shy of 6,000. Never did understand who would drive it that far, or why. It runs just fine, though. The HMMH had less than 100on the odo when I got it. Also runs fine, and it feels a bit tighter than the SEE. Of course, it's far less top heavy. By...
