I've seen a couple M9XX LWS build threads but I haven't seen the dims for the main base plate for the turret/bearing, the square with cut corner plate, looks like 3/8" thick or so. Would somebody happen to know the dims from an actual install or from making your own base plate?
I have the installation instructions for the AM General 57K6230 Battery Disconnect Accessory Kit but the file is too large to post as attached file.
The kit comes with a marine inline fuse (Blue Sea Systems Inline ATO/ATC Fuse Holder + 15amp bladed fuse) for the 12v 4L80E wire. Besides the...
I remember during the Clinton years, we didn't have training funds for M200 Blank 5.56mm. We had MILES equipment, afterall, that was reusable, durable equipment. But we had no blanks to make the MILES lasers function. Joes in Rifle Squads were running around like kids playing cowboys and...
For me, considering the price and shipping expenses for the A2 Airlift Bumpers these days, when possible, I prefer not to alter the original part, or alter the cheapest part first. Those A2 seem to be galvanized then painted or less likely, powder coated. Sometimes welding galvanization can...
The issue M10XX hard top headliner is 1" thick open-celled foam with a perforated vinyl exposed face, the mfg will sell a 4.5ft x 10ft piece in Black, Sand Tan, Mohave Brown for about $200. 1" Acoustical Headliner and Wall Insulation (800nonoise.com)
The later M11XX use something...
The M11XX armored trucks use thicker body spacers, too. So combine the thicker body spacers with stiffer coil springs with the additional armor weight eliminated.
My M1025A2 GMV sits higher in the front than M998 A0 and A1 trucks, too.
Resurrection: RE: VIC-3 LITE, the LITE box has a 2 pin connector at the top, right side to power the intercom. Anybody know the correct CX part number for this 2 pin to 4 pin A4J2 outlet on the MT-6352/VRC?
Right now, I have a 4 pin power plug to the VIC-3 LITE Box Radio A 6 pin outlet...
10 pumps on the floor jack increased the space between the portal hub and the brake rotor by about 3/4" 2cm 20mm. That created enough space for it to slip right in. Then I got 3 bolts started to square it up, fought getting the 2nd on each 3rd in, discovered the rotor moves independent...
Portal hub is hanging by the A Arms right now, as it was when I removed the halfshaft. I'll try raising it with floor jack tomorrow to see if it helps. I suppose the portal hubs move on an arc, pivoting on the A Arms, there would be a sweet spot that is maximum outward swing. Reminds me...
Turrets, turrets, turrets. A0 thru early A2 had the stamped sheetmetal "cat-eared" turret Weapons Station, then sometime around the same time the underbody Pioneer Tool Tray was replaced with the MaxxTool, 2002? they switched to the fully round stamped turret Weapons Station, perhaps as a...
OK, went through the process to replace the portal hub side CV Boot on the right, front Halfshaft of 1994 M1097A1. I quadruple checked the components before stretching the boot over the cup and spindle ends, bearing cage taper side towards the hub. I crimped the CV Boot Bands, went to...
If you can remove the rear seat boxes without damaging them I'd be interested in buying them,
Some of these trucks are so old the pop rivets themselves are oxidized to heck. I had to remove a set of older Driver Seat floor plates which are similar installation to the rear seat buckets, except...
I think both Wolfer and Seco may carry some parts made in Asia. Possible you were shipped a Chinese-mfg top that is out of spec. Wouldn't be the first time a US company paid a Chinese company to replicate a US part, the samples arrive in the US exact copy but when the production parts arrive...
314th and 315th Infantry Regiments used to be part of 79th Infantry Division until the 1950s, then became 79th Army Reserve Command in Pennsylvania. I was Mortar Plt, HHC 1/315th Inf 157th SIB, 79th ARCOM out of Germantown Philadelphia 1986-1988. In the 1990s or early 2000s, the Army...
