If you are going to repair it yourself I would begin by carefully removing the damaged sheet metal taking detailed pictures along the way. Save all of the parts until the repair is completed. Once you get down to the frame then seen about having it evaluated for straightening.

That's not all of the mount. There is a sheet metal piece that goes over the heavy flat bar and wraps up on the lower radiator tank and is soldered. It is known to rust out. Probably can get by without it but the original assembly came with it. Its made from 16ga sheet bent in a channel...

There should not be any clunking out of the jackshaft. If there is any looseness that is an issue you need to find out the source. Could be worn u joints, loose bolts, worn splines. You may want to remove it for a close inspection...
