    Engine Oil Fuel Dilution Problem

If the hydraulic head O rings are good and the control shaft O ring is sealing then the only other place likely is the booster pump. It has a shaft seal keeping fuel separate from the oil side. The AMBAC repair data says to test the pump with 30 PSI air and submerge in water to detect any...

    Albany GA to GA Rally

I am working hard to get my truck ready. I had to pull my injection pump to put in new seals. I was getting some fuel in the oil. I am looking forward to the trip. I hope we have our full crowd and some extras to go. Eddie

    Injection line boots

OK I got the new boots in and was able to install them over the pump end fitting. I didn't think they would stretch that much but they will. I used dielectric silicone grease and pulled them over the fitting. You have to secure the line in a vise so the fitting is in a fixed position. You have...

    Injection line boots

I am looking for some advice. I have my injection pump removed for service and wanted to replace the rubber boots on the injection lines. I have a set ordered but looking at the lines I am not sure you can install them over the end fitting. Does anyone have any advice on that? I don't want to...

    Supplies for a Long Trip

Losing a close family member is like handling a double edge sword. You don't want to see them suffer and you don want to see them go. It hurts both ways.

What sandblaster should i buy? need opinions...

The size of the compressor is directly related to how fast you can clean things. Smaller compressors will not be sufficient for some thing like a bed. I do commercial blasting and an I run a 100HP Ingersoll Rand diesel unit. I blast with a #6 nozzle that's a 3/8" bore and uses about 250CFM of...

    M35A3 government cost...

I got an A2 that is a 71 model. The asset cost on the sticker was $41,000 when I got it. I assume that was the govt cost in 1971.

    Can Anyone ID These Rims?

Those look to be the late model deuce rims. I bought a set and the only issue is the oval openings in them are much smaller than the original. This makes it much harder to access the inner valve stems on duals.

    M35A2C Gushing oil

Check the torque on the hold down bolts. The gaskets may have taken a set and caused the leak. I think the torque is around 65 ft lbs. you may want to plan on converting to spin on oil filters will be easier to change and faster oil pressure build.

    M35A2 trouble shooting starter/electrical problem

Most of us have made bone head mistakes but we just don't admit it. I tried for hours to install a fan clutch on my F450 Super Duty only to realize it was left hand thread. I pulled the old one off so I knew it was just didn't connect when I tried to install the new one. I felt really stupid for...

    Engine Cut-out at high RPM

Actually there is a drain on all 3 filter canisters. Most of the water will be captured in the primary canister but it's a good practice to drain all 3 on a regular basis.

    How to repack wheel bearings?

Rusty stud is right the grease will flow even cold it will settle due to gravity. I always put enough if the hub so the bearings are supplied with grease when it settles.

    Winch and Bumper Project

Rusty, if you were close by I would sandblast all your parts for you so the finish would be top notch. I blast with 35/65 grade sand leaves a smooth finish ready for paint. Eddie

Wheel removal for wheel cylinder replacement advise

If you would have used the military gear reduction lug tool this could have been avoided. It drives off of the square thimble head to turn the hex nut. The gear reduction makes it reasonable to loosen most wheel nuts. I am a believer in that tool. I made my own extended handle out of a high...

    Pyro advice

I also used a Hewitt gage 010-213-1R-1-24 0-1600*F and a 015-001-B1 thermocouple connected with a 035-013-07 cable 7' This is a 2" gage fairly small but fits nicely in a standard 2" mounting cup. Eddie Cannon

    Head stud issues

Loctite makes a semi solid thread adhesive. It looks like a large lip stick tube. I would remove them one at a time and apply that and reinstall them. Using a proper lube is critical to get the tension load for the gaskets Rustystuds advice for using the ARP lube is correct.

    fuel injector tube tee

The return line fittings are Parker Hi Duty style fittings. The ferrule nuts are 61HD-4 and the T's are 172HD4-2 I believe. I have talked to Parker in the past on these. Look at the attached info beginning on page 33. I hope this help...

    "K" Style Thermocouple

I would call Hewitt and ask them best way to troubleshoot the gage.
