CD82 is the main control unit for the VIC-3 system. The system consists of an additional box for each crew member (up to 6) plus cables to connect them together and headsets.
Sorry I don't have anything for you on hooking up the TRI radios.

I have been told that there were about 10 RT 524's for every RT246 manufactured.
The RT524 was a general purpose single channel radio and was put in all kinds of vehicles. The RT246 was intended primarily for tracked vehicles where the radio might be located in an area not readily accessed by...
I have decided not to do another run of boxes until I get 10 solid confirmations that people will buy them. Right now about 5 people have expressed interest, but some of them are low post count users and who know's if they will ever show up again.

All,
The boxes are done! I will send out private messages to the list over the next few hours with instructions.
I have tested these with VIC-1 and VIC-3 systems and have some important notes:
VIC-3: Plug and play. Connect the phone box to one of the radio ports and you are done.
VIC-1: A...
Hah, yeah there is an esd mat under the laptop...
Fortunately there are no active components here, so nothing too sensitive.
If you take the lid off of the box it gives access to four mounting holes. I just stuff it behind the radio myself.

I have a PowerPoint presentation talking about those harnesses somewhere. They were designed to prevent the gunner from being ejected in an IED blast. That they definitely will do, but not much else. Army regs say Kevlar and vest must be worn when in any tactical vehicle.
I worked with a guy...
