WTB & questions: Tow bar, light cable, air lines, etc for flat towing 5 ton w/ 5 ton

See post #18. I've put a couple of thousand miles miles on the Blazer lights, and they're working great. I think they're around $50 at Walmart and Tractor Supply. I can use them with my F250 or 24v MV. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?70599-Tried-the-35-WalMart-LED-light-kit-yet/page2

My dealings with Jeff Davis (CSM Davis)

Yep, he has helped me many times, the latest just today while stuck on the side of the road. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?128697-Hauling-a-M931-bought-from-Camp-Shelby-s-scrap-yard-leaves-me-stranded

    KE5EUA's 818 Build

Yep, you need to move out of E. Baton Rouge Parish (or any incorporated area) to a rural area where personal freedom still flourishes. The benefit is you can mostly do what you want on your property. The drawback is your neighbor can also do what he wants and you have to accept it.

    Another load of forgotten Mutts.

That'll buff out just fine! There is nothing wrong with the flat bed trailers they're sitting on.

    My 1992 M923a2 is home!

Glad you got a nice one! Don't worry, something will need fixing as time goes on, or at least some modifications to make it yours .

The EPA/DLA stoppage and where we stand and what we should do

Thanks for the explanation Clinto and other Mods. Oh to be a fly on the wall during those meetings. As someone who has met with EPA and DOJ attorneys over a number of years in my previous life, there is a lot more common sense involved in the negotiations than in the original legislation or...

Louisiana to NC and back in the Deuce

I was driving thru Zachary around 1800 hrs today, and a Deuce turned out in front of me and pulled into a gas station. Could it be? Yes it was JS who pulled over to call Ke5sua. I stopped to say Hi and wish him good luck on his journey. I've been driving my 5-tons 275 to 550 miles a week...

    700 mile drive

That first trip in your first MV is hard to beat, no matter how long it is. You probably were so excited you didn't notice your butt was numb. Gotta ditto sounds like a great wife!

Louisiana to NC and back in the Deuce

Hope you're taking the southern route through Mobile, rather than Birmingham. Those hills between B'ham and Atlanta would make for some slow speeds on the interstate. My butt hurts just thinking of that drive - 3 hrs in a spring seat is about my max. before stopping, and 8 hrs a day is a...

goldneagle's M936 Wrecker recovery and restore thread

Don't forget Juanprado was pulling parts on at least one very hot day! After being singled into a M936A1, GE was doing 55-57 mph on the flats and up to 62 mph on the gentle hill downslopes. The truck went from a non-running parts truck into a working/driving wrecker with a lot of hard work...

    Camp Shelby Rally

I'm enjoying my mixed beverage in my M105 camper located in Jeffs compound. Another member is in the motel with his family . Probably need to be at the tank Mates area around 0830 as they may close the road. Hopefully, Jeff will chime in, but to get to the Mates arrea, enter the South gate...

    Camp Shelby Rally

I think I'm bringing my M105 camper trailer and try dry camping (since that is why I have it) in Jeff's compound. I'm still working out the bugs, but those black water cans I got at Tim's rally should make for a warm solar shower at the end of the day, and the Honda 2000i generator and AC...
