I can imagine that guy was shaking his head saying “seriously? This guy wants to paint his car with a latex paint? What an idiot!”
Little does he know.
Shewin Williams also makes a paint that they recommend for painting ocean shipping crates. It’s a latex exterior paint.
Premium paints...
There really is no need. The paint itself sticks to CARC like glue and even to bare metal. I painted a piece of 16 ga sheet I had in the garage. It was clean, but I didn’t prep it at all. Never cleaned it from the time I bought it. I just rolled a big 2-3 sq foot area and it is on there for...
Well, at the moment they work as really good noise canceling headphones and a great Intercom system for the truck so you can carry on a conversation with your passenger at highway speeds. It works great for that. Augi made a cell phone to radio interface that works great so I can accept calls...
I’ll second the Graco airless. It’s a Godsend. No need in thinning it, just paint. The Graco is a monster. It sprays out paint like a champ. Adjust it on a piece of cardboard or plywood and then go to town.
If its hot or dry, keep a damp rag handy and wipe down the nozzle every now and then...
The 1101 is just as sexy as they get. The 101 is the girl next door, with the ponytails and freckles, but the 1101 is the blond cheerleader who also is on the 400 meter relay and can pole vault while out drinking you the night before.
Everything was screwed down to the plywood and it worked great. Since there are ridges in the floor of the 101, the plywood stands up about 1/2” off the floor. That gave me enough room to ratchet strap the fridge down to the edge of the plywood lightly so it wouldn’t walk around.
This method...
I bolted some 1” square tubing to the conduit hangers “, which were mounted to the top bars, to give me a flat bar to mount the solar panels to. These panels put out 100 watts each at 19 volts (they are 12v panels, but the panels do say output is in the 19v range) I tested them, and they were...
Rustystud,
How dare you be prepared!
Its not that hard to look up the torque specs for dry and lubed threads, and just tighten accordingly. Sounds reasonable to me.
I bought the DeWalt 20 volt Max XR Lithium ion 1/2" DCF889 and I'm very happy with it. I take it with me on road trips for flats on pickups and trailers. Just makes it a lot easier. They advertise 1200 ft-lbs break away and 700 ft-lbs tightening strength. Don't know why you would do that to your...
My 16.00’s aired down will be like tracks compared to a 395.
My only downfall is that I seem to attract pretty, slim women. You might have the “hog factor” over me. I’ll just need to attract more of them. :D my bed is bigger too ... factors to consider.
“Federal Standard” is the category that they will go into on the computer, enter the paint code to mix the color. There is a list of federal standard paint codes on the first page.
Some guys, like me, make up our own colors. In that case, just ask the member for the code or paint number and...
